How much $$$ are niche blogs making? hypebeast, mashkulture, nicekicks, sneaker obsession?

Y'all should quit hating on each other for the lulz, network and make something happen. Nt has dozens of business opportunities just waiting to materialize.
Heh, would be a pretty good idea, but that'd mean someone devotes entire days to watching pr0n...

I just started my blog with another guy a few months ago. Our approach is to help young professionals in any way we can, be it with product reviews, financeand investment help, saving money, things you should know, etc. We also have a Lifestyle aspect where we do album reviews and other stuff so it's not ALLabout the work day or stuff to help your career. We'd eventually like to get it into a full-time website or publication, even though that's a bit downthe road. If anyone has a few free minutes check us out, I always love to hear feedback, both what we're doing well and what people might want to see:

The link is also in my sig guys...thanks for checking it out and truly, if you have any feedback or would like to contribute PM me or email me. I'd love tohear some recommendations/criticism...

JDB1523: sounds interesting......I'm too tired to read many posts tonight but I'ma keep following the idea sounds great...just keep growing thatcontent. hit you up on twitter too

On a side note, phanizzle's room was the sickest room I had ever seen for a teenager, son had lit display cases for his kicks and the whole nine...

But I got a few ideas, just not enough time to maintain it without a staff...

^It's actually tough to maintain if you want to make it a career. Definitely takes a full-time effort. I'll check for feedback from you guystomorrow...thanks again in advance all (link in sig).

We've had the site up for a while, but really have not been maintaining it and blogging it daily. It is a lot of work, best advice is to get a group ofpeople. Maybe just like 3 or 4, and just do a blog or 2 a day.. Gotta have new content. Im just getting into a daily habit, and Im going to push myself tocarry it into the new year. Adsense is wack, but what are you gonna do. Hopefully we wont have to go that route. Let me know what you guys think of it.

kevin ma started hypebeast, and i don't think he's ever posted on niketalk.
He might not have posted on NT, but he definitely took the idea from NT. ShineOX started the whole term hypebeast with his drawing and today it's pretty much used everywhere in streetwear. Dude coulda copyrighted the word and made a ton. The drawing I think was based on phanizzle(old nt'ers might remember him when wdywt first started), but yeah it was started by shineOX as joke and it has turned into this big thing. Hypebeast was started in 05 and the drawing was done by ShineOX in 04.

internet porn will never be bleed dry I remember once skimming through 5 sites just to find a new Aliana Love video.

What would be a good site with preset templates to start on? LiveJournal? Blogger? WordPress? Blogspot?

another thing in regards to blogs and ads, is that blogs like nicekicks, us (slamxhype), highsnobiety and a few others get ads through the complex medianetwork, while hypebeast, selectism and others go through hypecircle. chances are you do not have the connections with advertisers, so you have to go through amedia network to help you out. the better idea would be to get your own network of sites going like highsnobiety. the more views you are getting, the betteryou will do when it comes to generating money from ads. hypebeast also generates a lot of money for their featured stories that sit atop of the site for aweek. that goes directly to hypebeast with no middle man like complex media involved. you figure they have 4 different top stories a month, so it is safe tosay that site is doing pretty damn well just on that alone.
