Exactly! Smh...would have been a less stupid comment if it where at least Dec but calling it out in the summer made it even sillier and far from happening. I knew Boston would win tonight and I really think they have a shot at winning the ring this year but we shall see

wait though, didn't 66-wins cavs lose their 1st game against the celtics as well?

heat can reach 70 come on now

^^^ thats not entirely true given the opponent. Had they had won, or lost by 30, i believe it would have said alot, in terms of how far they need to go, or the overall newly acquired strength, considering their opponent has been to the finals twice in the last 3 years, winning one of them. If the heat had come out and beat the Boston Celtics by 30 points, that would've sent an incredible message to the other teams, considering only the two best teams go to the finals, and this being #2..

The heat blew it by going after bosh instead of amare. Bosh will do more bad than good.

He dont fit in this system. Bron and wade can run and so can amare. Bosh is one dimension. He cant post, he cant body nobody. he sucks playing pick n roll on offense, he gets beasted by decent 4s.

amare is a slasher but at the same time can shoot. plays so well offensively and defensively in the pick n roll, can bang down low, gets blocks and rebounds and can run with wade and bron.

bosh isnt going to get numbers like he did in toronto because he aint going to ever dominate the ball. he needs to be in the post or moving around on the baseline for when lebron or wade slashes to find him under the hoop.

lebron will miss boobie, delonte, mo, tawn, parker's 3 point shooting. brons game is dominating the ball and dribble penetrating to draw defenders in and draw a foul or kick it out to a 3 point shooter. mike miller hurt his thumb so even when he comes back he will be slowed, james jones and eddie house are inconsistant and streaky at best. z wont do nothing for them, joel anthony is a liability on offense, juwan howard, stackhouse, arroyo, chalmers all will not do anything.

lebron is my favorite player and i want him to succeed but the contracts that him wade and bosh have don't leave room for any real consistant help and I think they are in trouble in the long run because of the.

Bron and wade have a similar game and when they play the celtics who have 5 good big defenders that will keep them out of the paint, the heat dont have enough deadly shooters to beat the zone so I dont see them beating the celtics.
This post makes a lot of sense.

I still think the Heat will be fine. But I agree that they are lacking in size.

I also questioned the signing of Stack before the season started. I would have tried to find a sharp-shooter instead. Can't rely on just House and Jones.

Can't say the things you guys are saying after 1 game.. I'm sure they will figure it out soon enough. They did look bad though

Not for nothing, even though the Heat were beaten last night....they showed a GLIPMSE of how that even while 2/3 of "Big 3" may be off they have enough on talent (Lebron)alone to carry the team. They were not cohesive. At all. It's no secret. Remember, the C's team that they played have ultimately been together for 3-4 years now. Heat aka. Lebron kept the game close off of pure talent. Miami has been playing together for a few weeks....They will hit their stride eventually. Lebron put up good #'s against one of the best defensive teams in the NBA. It's going to be downright scary to see what Miami will look like when everyone knows their assignments on both offense and defense. Expectations are high...and I still think it's championship or bust this season for the Heat. For one game it was interesting to see....1 game isn't nearly enough of a measuring point to gain an OBJECTIVE opinion of what this team will look like 20, 30, 40+ games into the season. Give it time....

*Oh yeah....I do agree w. Chuck....they need a better PG to run this team. Either that, or put the ball in D.Wade or Lebron's hands when bringing the rock up court.

**Another thing....when you got the thoroughbreds that Miami does in Bron, Wade, and Bosh (one of the best big-men in the NBA as far as getting up/down the court), why run that slow +%$ bog-it-down style??? These guys would THRIVE in the open court. I dunno why they didn't exploit Boston's age and just run. Honestly, I thought I was watching Cleveland-South for a while...

I agree with this entire post

Some of yall need to give Boston some credit too. Their defense is VERY good. Ray Allen with his timely threes is what won them this game, only reason Miami had a chance late in the game is because of Lebron simple and plain. Bosh and Wade didn't show up, I hope Spoelstra is smart enough to encourage this team to run more because their half court offense is disgusting to watch

Another thing....I think a lot of yall forgot exactly how good Lebron really is....enough w. this "Robin" nonsense. He's the best player on that team. The way he carried himself this summer w. "The Decision" amongst other things made you guys think he morphed into Boris Diaw or some %!!*
