HBO's The Night Of

Naz will be free but won't be able to continue to tutor because of the case.

Can't find a decent job because of his corny tattoos and crack habit.

Tries driving a cab like his pops but people recognize him so that's that.

He goes back to Freddy and asks him for help.

Freddy says he'll get rid of all of Naz's parents debts if he agrees to swallow 3 balloons and sneak them into the prison on his next visit.

Naz agrees.

Naz completes his mission and just when it seems he's in the clear he develops a stomach ache.

He's rushed to hospital but is DOA from an overdose.

There were actually 4 balloons instead of 3.

Nazir Full of Grace out Christmas 2016.

My theory on the relevance of Stone's feet to the show:

When he had eczema, he was a social pariah. Nobody was close to him or wanted to be around him. When his feet were cured, basically nothing changed. He thought when his feet were cured, he'd be able to be "normal" again. Still, his son wanted nothing to do with him and Chandra ignored him when he showed her.

When Naz was convicted, he became a social pariah. People in the prison wanted to kill him and his family+community was severely impacted negatively. When(if) he is found innocent, he probably thinks he could go back to living a normal life. However, his mother will probably believe he's guilty and want nothing to do with him. Also, people recognizing him and his prison hand tattoos will make it unlikely that he'll be able to go back to his normal life. Also his family+community would still be negatively impacted.

I think this theory makes sense because the point of the show is to illustrate the problems with the justice system. One problem being, when someone is accused of a very serious crime and found not guilty, people of the general public often still see them as guilty.
Correct, there really is no turning back now for Naz.

His life is forever changed and so are the lives of the people around him.

America now = guilty until proven innocent (and even after you're proven innocent, you're still guilty in public view)

Not sure if this was mentioned, but did anybody notice that the graffiti on the mosque was in the same color that Naz' younger brother was spray painting down the school hallway? I don't remember any follow-up to that short, seemingly out of place scene in episode 6. Just something that crossed my mind.

I really think his brother did it. Doesn't visit Naz once and not even present at any of his court appearances. The cat is seen at their crib when the dad goes outside looking for the cab. I think his mom found something in his room that points to him doing it and hid it when the cops raided their house. She knows and thats why asked Chandra if she raised an animal. Something is up with that kid.

How would his brother have known where Nas is located ?

I like this as a theory.

That would be crazy lol.....maybe his mom found the knife? ? She definitely looks like she knows something.

I dont think this is true but its an entertaining theory

I think Freddy is the mastermind behind it all. I think he had it set up for Andrea to get killed, possibly by Duane Reade and has befriended Naz in prison because he knows Naz took the fall for something he is responsible for. Also, this might be reaching, but his name is Fred Knight = The Night Of.

Idk maybe he followed him but we'll find out.

If you watch the first episode again you can hear a car peel off when Naz wakes up in the kitchen.

Also, if you notice, there hasn't been much interaction between the mom and the dad. It definitely does seem like she knows something.

Nice catch.

Y'all tripping.

The brother was "sleeping", and when he woke up couldn't find Naz in the house :lol

Who's to say he didn't go home and play it off like he was sleeping? That seen of him getting up to check on Naz (why is he doing that anyway) didn't happen till after Naz had already been waiting at the precinct. That was easily a hour or two after he found Andrea dead.
