Not sure what this show is going for.

The 'Bad' tattoo is so damn cheesy.
It says sin on the right hand and bad on the left hand, for "Sinbad".

The nickname he adopted from Freddy in the beginning.

:x

Even cheesier.

I dunno man...I feel like the story needed more time. Some of the character shifts were too drastic. Now Chandra is going in for the kiss in a cell? Am I the only person who thinks this was just the best way they could find to put Stone back in the spotlight.

And I was scoffing at the dialogue during the questioning of witnesses on he stand. That back and forth, snappy, conversational tone ain't going down like that in court.

I think I expected too much of a procedural after the first episode and this show is more about individuals than an accurate depiction of the system at this point.

Show fell off.

No one investigated a damn thing. How does one realize the inhaler or consider the step dads motive so late in the game.

Nas tattoos
His boy on the stand
His lawyer kissing him?? What is like able about this dude?

The Cochran line :{
OJ rolling over in his grave

What bothers me is that there is only 1 episode left and there is still about 3795973739 loose ends left to tie and every episode opens up another can of worms, this one with Chandra kissing Naz....like wtf son this is nearly the end of the season and now we exploring a possible romance between Chandra and Naz?...
Yea lots of wasted valuable time. Assumed that since we knew it was 8 episodes it would move along but the show dragged its feet. Glad the finale is 90 minutes but it needs to be like 3hrs :lol

That OJ quote was cringe worthy
roll.gif
Not only was it cringe worthy, it made no sense. There was no correlation to the asthma pump. And even if, in the defense of a murder case, you're invoking the image of a man who most in this day and age consider to be a murderer who got off. Like, what? I know Chandra supposed to be a rookie but she's not that dumb.
That was the whole point of it. A green lawyer trying to act as if she was Matlock up there that caught Box in a coverup. Her reaction after Box freely admitted he gave Nas the inhaler showed she was gassin herself. Even the DA's look after the OJ quote knew it was cringeworthy. Not that dumb? The scene before she was making out with her defendant.

The show is not perfect but that scene was laid out plain and clear and made sense.

^ Word. This show has went out of there way to show Naz does not have the best lawyers. They're like alright but slow.

So how can y'all be surprised when they're still investigating the step dad in the middle of the trial? Most of this show Stone is looking for a cure for his feet then trying to smash then investigating and then dealing with his son.

Who knows what Chandra been doing before she spent all night thinking up weak opening statements and interviewing creepy Hearst drivers.

Nothing in these 7 eps points to good detective work on either side. I figured that was a part of the corruption and process being in the system and having a criminal case pending.

Bro there are so many questionable things happening in that courtroom it's laughable.

In prison as well.  Like all these special privileges and free roam Freddie has in there. And the woman grabbing treats out her snatch and handing them to Naz in front of the whole room, no way in hell that doesn't get seen.
I just assumed Freddy owned most of the guards or had an understanding anyway.

Especially last ep. Looked like the 2 guards our post looked the other way :lol Its deco Italy noticed, just ignored. Stone watched as Naz swallowed balloons of rock right in front of him.

Pretty sure ppl see ol girl grabbing balloons of rock out her snatch :lol

:lol I feel that's cuz yall dudes spent a lot of times falling for intended red herrings like buffalo/deer heads and cats.

Also so what that a Naz and Chandra romance is in ep. 7? Its just a hook up by a dude in Rulers that's only smashed 2 or 3 chicks and inexperienced lawyer. Nothing about this story is being followed up after this.

What really changes if Naz hooked up with her in ep 4 instead?

I think that he did it. I'm not sure if he'll be convicted, but I'm positive he did.

What stood out to me was the P.E. teacher's description of Nasir's demeanor after he threw his classmate down the stairs. It was something along the lines of "not being there." I think he has episodes in which he blacks out for periods of time with no recollection of what he has said or done. Add this with his violent behavior, and it starts to become apparent that he did this.

And then you factor in his mother. The show portrays her as having been convinced by the prosecution of her son's guilt, but I think it's more so due to her knowing that he has a history with blackouts and violence, and her simply putting the pieces together.

For me, personally, the mental health angle makes too much sense.

All the "crimge worthy" court room moments are definitely on purpose.
It's written that way, not to show how smooth they are, but aren't.

Even with them bringing up the "sub conscious" and discussing that. Box definitely isn't just trying to put this case behind him. He actually did want to help Naz when he brought the inhaler, he knew he needed it but also that it would dirty the crime scene. This was his sub conscious at work for real, because since jump (IMO), he knows Naz isn't the guy, and the evidence against him seems so strong that he can't trust Naz team to get him off.

You can see how inept they are, and they're far better than what he would have got from a Public defender.

I think the writing is brilliant, I feel like I see the picture they are painting, or trying to paint.

So Naz is basically Norman Bates? :lol

Not buying it.

I just think the mom is pathetic and has no faith in her son.

But if that's all true, Naz didn't consciously kill her. His mom didn't raise a monster. By law he has a nice temporary insanity plea that would land him in some padded room for 6 months. It wouldn't even be like he got away with anything.

I assume near the end Naz will get high on heroin and then remember everything that happened as the final scene.

What I think is going to happen is that the characters in the story will not find out what happened on that night, but the viewing audience will. It will obviously play a role in the verdict...right or wrong.

This felt super forced. Don't think we needed a kiss to go down to advance their connection.

I had a feeling the inhaler would come back into play again; Box knows he messed up.

And NOW CHANDRA IS HOLDING THE KNIFE BAREHANDED?? :{ I kinda cringed at her OJ line :lol but I knew what she was getting at.

Contraband gets into jail all the time so I think in that regard a little suspension of disbelief is fine. The jail scene that threw me was the hot water. Just readily available and waiting to be used on someone. Maybe a kitchen area wasn't part of the budget for the set.
I remember Naz's former boy said that the water isn't too hot but hot enough to make Ramen. It's when they throw in the baby oil when it can burn someone

I don't think Chandra holding the knife bare handed is as big a deal yall are making it out to be. I'm pretty sure the crime scene investigators already ran all their tests on it so that any new fingerprint or DNA on it is meaningless

I will say in real life court scenes I've usually seen evidence handled with gloves or the item in a plastic bag if it was still bloody.

So now they've moved on from ol boys feet to naz smoking dope the more and more scenes with him doing that he begins to reflect more and more I'm just wondering why it's taking 7 episodes deep to remember...also box done fkd I knew that once the inhaler was taken like why?!?! Now you tampering with evidence like the OJ trial...also I'd like to note that naz mother is showing she doesn't have faith in her son the father believes naz...also his cab situation he's gonna have to make some major cash and I ain't saying kitchen utensils either another thing to watch is how the father gonna gather that bread up...not surprised by that kiss scene I personally think it won't be the drugs that brings his memory back its gonna be his intimacy that he has with lawyer that will :smokin

Further drives home the point that Box is a scumbag.

Hope he takes the L in the finale.

With only 8 episodes this show has no business running at the pace of The Walking Dead
It moved at a snails pace until they wanted things to actually happen, and then it went at breakneck speed with Naz turning into a prison goon overnight.

I really think they should have either gave the show more time to expand, or cut all the bells and whistles that have just been eating away at time that could be used making Naz tattoos and drug use more believable.

I'm no chemist but I'm almost positive oil cannot make water hot. It can only help it retain heat. So in order to burn the water needed to already be hot enough. Anyways, it's not worth dwelling on. Just a little thing that could've been done better.

This show would've GREATLY benefited from more time. Like I said before, if things like the cat and Stone's feet aren't relevant and are only symbolic, this show wasted far too much time on them.

Also, when Chandra kissed Naz I thought it was a daydream sequence lol. I just don't see the motivation for that. Definitely felt forced. Maybe Stone and Chandra are just that random and stupid as someone suggested earlier.

I think the water is steaming hot, but the baby oil changes the consistency and makes the liquid sticky and thick making it stick to the person you're throwing it at.

I could be way off, but I think oil also retains heat a lot better than plain water.

I wonder what the actual time frame was from the murder to the trial?

I could be wrong, but wasn't the crime in Sept/Oct and I could've sworn the security camera said Feb, when they kissed.

This last episode will determine if the show is considered good or bad by me. The opener was just such a strong episode but these last 6 episodes are not anything I'd probably ever watch again.

This show has been presented so wild I would not be shocked either if it ended up being Naz and the heroin flash backs show the viewers what happened - it is being teased.
