Apparently Jennings shined in a workout against Jennings and that's allegedly moved him up the list on the Knicks board

He played against himself?

I'm happy with Flynn, Curry or even Jennings though we'll probably end up with Tyreke Evans. You heard it here first! Ha

I'm now even more nervous that Jennings did well in his workout. I don't doubt he has the game, but just everything I've heard and seen from thiskid I dislike. He's arrogant, selfish, and he's not want i want for the team.

If we stay at 8..

I'd hope for

1. Curry
2. Flynn
3. Evans
4. Hill
5. Holiday

6. Jennings

Im so confused. There are times i read articles and it seems that Walsh would really like Flynn and that hes very high on his board, and than there are somearticles where his name is not even mentioned and they talk about Jrue Holliday over him... Anyway i honestly would not be happy with Jennings but dude candefinitley ball im just worried about the hadcase issues but he can ball and he can run and he has a vicious swagger...

My new Board

1. Flynn
2. Curry
3. Evans
4. J Hill
5. Jennings
6. Holliday (to clear things up i dont hate Holliday, he may be good someday and he plays D. I just hate him at

With the rumors with Washington on full speed, the Post's Peter Vecsey adds some fuel to the fire in saying that the Knicks are angling for 5 so they can trade up to 2 to snag Ricky Rubio.
"…Some of the immoderately mesmerized queued up include the Timberwolves, Kings and Knicks, who are angling to acquire No. 5 from Washington for Larry Hughes (but must take the expiring contracts of Mike James and Etan Thomas) and parlay the pick with No. 8 for No. 2.

Disregarding the 6-foot-3 Spaniard's contract tribulations for the moment, Rubio doesn't take a possession off competitively, has improved his 3-point shot whenhe's able to set his feet, a la Jason Kidd, and sees the court like a nun saw a crowded classroom, minus the mistakes.

At the same time, Rubio's flaws scare numerous talent scouts more than just a little bit.

"Ricky has a big upside," a Western Conference coach concedes. "Nevertheless, he's very light, like Steve Nash only without the offense. He has no mid-range game, never gets to the free throw line and is a defensive liability due to his lack of strength and size.

"Ricky makes sense for a team loaded with great outside shooters, because he can make plays," the coach continued. "He would've been a perfect fit for the Suns under Mike D'Antoni, and he could play for him with the Knicks because they don't worry about playing defense…"

Now I have two problems with this assessment.

First, I'm still trying to understand why on earth the Wiz would give up the 5th pick for
Larry Hughes.I know Gil runs the show in a lot of ways down there, but Big Ern is smarter than that. I'm sure 5 is in play, but it would take bringing back contracts and giving up Chandler, which we hear the Knicks are not completely sold on yet.

Secondly, I'm not sure the team trades two picks to 2 if they give up Chandler. Walsh was adamant yesterday in saying that if you bring in a rookie you have to make sure their are play makers around them, and if the Knicks deal Hughes and/or Chandler, then they have to get two picks back to fill roster spots as they head into free agency. In other words, if they move too many existing players, who will Rubio, or any other guard make plays for? That would expose them and possible hamper their development.

Either way you can smell the wood burning in Washington and we love all the momentum that has surrounded Rubio since we went out on a limb last week.

man i would package Hughes and Jeffries with 8 for James/Thomas and the 5 in a seconddddd. We probably get an upgrade in talent IMO. We get contracts thatexpire in 2010 while shedding Jeffries contract which goes past. We get an interior defender which we desperately need. AND we get to move up in the draft.Seems like a no brainer on our part IMO.

EDIT:

i didnt even realize we wouldnt give up #8. But honestly if we hadthe 5 and 8 picks i wouldnt even move up to #2. I would try and keep both and draft 2 quality young players. This draft is not strong enough where 5 and 2 havesunch a difference that we also have to package #8 to aquire the pick. If we gave up 5 and 8 to aquire 2 i would want something back from Memphis like a goodyoung player, or make them take a contract like Curry, or have them throw in a pick from next year.

walsh got a rid of jerome james, i'm sure he can make this happen. At this point i think if its chandler, hughes, jeffries for #5, miek james, and haywood/etan i'd pull the trigger. Yes i undertsnad chandler has a bright future and all but then we get #5 and #8. We draft curry/evan at 5 andderozan at 8 (we'll need a SG). Plus a late first round pick that we buy.

I hope this draft lives up to the hype and all the rumor

Wiz are not trading for Hughes and Jefferies.

Too many other teams have better packages willing to trade for that #5

edit the title of your stupid thread, the wiz ARE NOT/WILL NOT/NEVER WILL do that ******ed trade.
