Yeah man, I think you are making my inadvertently making my point. What I am saying is this: If homosexuality is a choice, as so many here have attested, then why isn't heterosexuality a choice? If they are sooo sure that a person chooses to be gay, when did they choose to be straight?

i never made an argument for it being a choice or not. if you want my personal opinion, i think some people are born naturally disposed to varying levels ofhomosexual tendencies, and these can be suppressed or encouraged by environmental factors as the child grows up. but i'm not a scientist, so i'm notsaying i know for sure this is true (even scientists can't say they know).

and of course, there are also some people who just declare themselves as homosexuals to "be different" (or should i say "conform to whatevertheir friends are doing"). in my personal observation, i mainly see this in girls -- it seems that a sort of "hipster" lesbianism is generally amore accepted homosexual subculture than others.

but honestly, i don't think that has any relevance whatsoever. because like i tried to explain, even if something is natural you can't automaticallysay "________ people don't choose to be that way, therefore that behavior should be encouraged"

Please tell me how homosexual behavior IS detrimental to society. And please give me valid arguments supported by facts. Considering the fact that homosexuality is no new phenomena it seems the earth has over populated itself regardless of the fact that homosexuals exist in our world.

And why is this argument always about men. When guys think of two females together it's hot right? Not wrong at all? It's all about patriarchal ideals being challenged. Nothing more.

there are multiple arguments for your question on both sides, with various degrees of credence. i'm not about to go back and forth with you. i was onlypointing out a problem i saw with some of the arguments here.

I can SORT OF see where you can sort of relate being gay to the civil rights movement, in that both parties are discriminated against, which isn't right. Iknow myself as a black man, I had no control of my color, but I'm not gay so I don't know if they have control of their homosexual urges. Me personallyI think being gay is like a fetish, like how some people have a fetish for getting choked or fornicating in vomit or whatever. Its just something that they areinclined too. People should all be treated equally though..and to answer the question I don't that ad should be present out in the open,regardless if it isa homosexual or a normal couple.
