I think Earn doing that guaranteed he won't be fired any time soon, he took a risk that paid off better than he thought. Clark's manager out the way, he found a Jewish lawyer, and Darius said he can't afford to fail, it's set.

Van was glowing this episode. She has Earn's back even when he doesn't believe in himself. We all need a woman like that.
After all of the dark twists and turns the gang had this season, they came out on top in the end. If this happens to be the series finale, I am very satisfied with this ending. The series was about the come up. They made it.
