Trank actually campaigned heavily to get Miles Teller cast as Reed Richards, but during the shoot things went bad between the two. Word is Trank's withdrawn, uncommunicative demeanor did not sit right with Teller (reportedly not the easiest guy to get along with himself) and his sarcastic responses to the situation finally brought the two into conflict. At one point the men were apparently "chest to chest", each daring the other to throw the first punch! That didn't happen, but as you can imagine it was not the most positive working environment to be in afterwards. Trank is also said to have been a **** to Kate Mara, who he never wanted in the role of Sue Storm in the first place.

Pretty much everything out now seemed to be covered by the EW piece last week.

They've been on a roll with the F4 piece and their Star Wars coverage.

And the worst thing this film has produced is all these "Future Of Superhero Films" articles

Pixels and Vacation l got panned and tanked at the box office but not one article about "Are comedies a thing of the past?" got posted :lol

We're only a year removed from GoTG and TWS both over performing critically and at the box office and these fools wanna be alarmist

One thing is for sure, Adam Sandler movies are a thing of the past. He just doesn't know it yet :lol

It was really too bad about Pixels. Looked forward to the movie. Maybe the same concept in somebody else's hands would've been really nice..

That's because in comedy it's well known that COMEDIANS are the thing of the past. Also comedy is nowhere near as high concept as superheroes are.

Secondly, those articles are clickbait. The fact that you are even talking about them proves they did their job.

Lol. Nobody's career last forever.

You still haven't explained anything to me.

Their time is done. Someone else will take their place.

Comedians a thing of the past? News to me.

LOL Adam Sandler not being able to make a box office hit is news to you? What about Jim Carey?

:lol at thinking comedians last forever
You're talking like those comedians are the only and/or last comedians left :lol

Like Kevin Hart hasn't made a movie career off of his stand up comedy. Like comedians no longer exist after these 40 something guys we all know.

They don't generate revenue from message board post last time I checked. Haven't clicked a single one of them either lol

Im tahm bout individual comedians. Kevin Hart has his 15 mins but he wont be opening movies at $30M in 10 years. Other genre's have actors that are at least long lasting

congratulations?

I'm not asking for a pat on the back :lol just pointing out they're not "doing their job"

And the life span for the majority of comedians is about the same as the average action star

lol no.

Yes they havent done their job because you can name people who didnt click the link. OKay.

And they dont have nearly as good careers either. Where are the Leonardo DiCaprios and Will Smiths of comedy in movies? Chris Pratt might be the only one

With Comedy being subjective, its hard for most comedians to survive for long periods of time.

Well then you're not making any statements we haven't already heard.

Adam Sandler is washed up? That's not breaking news. Jim Carrey is no longer a box office hit? Extra extra! :lol They all have their runs and then other comedians get their runs.

You said comedians are a thing of the past. That's false.

Steve Carrell > Pratt.

But you're reasoning is pretty flawed.

If you wanted to look for a DiCaprio or Smith of comedy in movies you'd look at Ferrell and Tucker. Better yet just look at the repeat actors in comedies.

If you're seriously trying to compare Smith's career to a comedian at the top of his game you're doing it wrong. Plus Smith is a bad example given his dip in box office draw or being in demand as a movie star.

Not like I implied that my statement was a groundbreaking revelation.

Will Smith's drop was after 30 years not 10.

Not only is Chris Pratt one of the few, if not only. He had to switch to an action star to do it.

Is Chris Pratt even a comedian though? I thought y'all were talking about dudes who either came from SNL/Sketch comedy or stand up

Chris Pratt is not  a comedian  . he might have been in some comedies, but there's a difference. He wasn't the leading many in a single comedy in his career.

It was an ill conceived argument from the jump :lol

That's why I said flawed reasoning.
