3.8 is a god damn compliment IMO

I was going to go lower but I said let me rank accordingly to other trash movies and then trash comic book movies. No knee jerk emotional reaction. Emotions died for this franchise twice with DofP and Apocalypse.

I don't think this movie is as bad as BvS (that was aggressively bad), Fan4stic, Apocalypse, Wolverine Origins, Catwoman, etc.

Character wise, it's the same as usual; a bunch of cardboard cutout characters given popular X-Men names to stand in the background, say a few lines and act as fodder for fights.

I'm so glad that's over.

Better than Apocalypse and I'm willing to say that it's on par with Future Past because that movie is overrated af to begin with.

Still don't know what's so great about Kinberg that everyone signed on for an extra year just to get this done but whatever.

But other than Deadpool movies, all fox marvel movies get overrated

People give x1 and x2 too much credit.. look is great for very very good but the past 15 mins or so knock it down to just solid.. first class was a great magenta origin movie and solid enough X-men movie for most part.. dofp like x2 have a very very cool scene (quicksilver and night crawler) movie could been better but was ultimately solid

The threat, the action, the plot, etc.

It contains all of the trash factors that made Apocalypse bad and what those dislike about FC; Mystique, nonsensical need to bring Magneto in this, forcing Wolverine to the forefront, etc. No build up to this just do it and hope ppl eat it up.

The threat - Very real. Sentinels who can adapt to and replicate all mutant powers to destroy them.

Action - A1. Climactic. Felt the tension when they were battling on two fronts and the Sentinels almost broke through in the future and finally destroyed everyone.

Plot - What was wrong with it? Dystopian future where **** went wrong and they found a way to make things right by going back in time. Why’d we need a build up to it?

Magneto, Wolverine and Mystique’s appearances, motivations and reasons were justified in this movie.

You dudes literally swallowed some bull **** about getting Mystique's blood leading to sentinels that can adapt and replicate

Marvel shouldve sued them for jacking super-adaptoids and calling then sentinels. Had an opportunity to do something cook like with Nimrod or Master Mold but nah.

Cuz nothing about it was earned. We've been over this so many times. They barely properly covered the dystopian future part of this movie.

A bunch of X-Men in the future, all killed off by super adaptoid sentinels. So? They making their last stand where?

No they were not. Especially not Mystique's. You can't give us that Mystique in FC and come with this 10 years later loner assassin Mystique that Magneto couldn't deal with. Don't insult my intelligence.

Wolverine's appearance and motivation is all the same for why he was the main character of the first 3 movies.

Man old Magneto telling Wolverine you need to find me too was LIES. Such bull ****. They job and depower Xavier to make room for "Erik" far too much. They didn't need to break Magneto out cor anything. His motivation is no better than any other mutant that wouldnt like that future.

DoFP is the 2nd best Xmen movie Fox ever made. 1st is Deadpool 1...

Logan is what you would call an overrated Xmen film.
