Booking.com is garbage lol. Had this happen to me a few times when i worked at a hotel. Shes a lot nicer than i was though.

Apparently the backstory on that is that dude had originally booked a room with 2 queen-sized beds and a pull-out sofa and then cancelled the room because it was too expensive. He then booked the room with 1 king bed and a pull-out sofa on booking.com. Odds are he was expecting there to be a vacant room so he could make a stink and get upgraded for free.
Dude’s an idiot for expecting her to screw another customer over for him though. She’s already dealing with one pissed off person, why would she want to deal with two?
