FOOD THREAD VOL. GRUB LIFE

Speaking of steak, what is the appeal of a steak under medium? Like what's good about a medium rare steak? Genuine question.

This is all that mattters
But he also conveniently leaves out the portion that I did't grow up eating red meat / pork, it wasn't in my house. So eating steak was something that I probably didn't do 10 times up until my late 20s.

Since then though, yea.......

This is all understandable, but I take issue with nobody telling what was what about steak during that whole time frame.

Speaking of food

A1 might be my favorite sauce dip. It covers most bases with me.

Good on beefs, chickens, and fries

BBQ would be that but the sweetness limits my tolerance
I never put sawse on stuff if cooked well.

Funny story about A1... Dispite my mother coming over from Korea in ‘69, she still has a heavy thick accent like she’s FOB... For years she called A1 as “Steaky AL” for yeeears... One day when we were in our late teens we were at the local Sizzler (all you can eat salad/pasta bar, steak, all you can eat fried shrimp, & cheesy bread) & she asked my brother to pass the “Steaky AL”... So we asked her why she called it “AL”... Was it some Korean thing she’s been using since the Korean War or something? So she picks up the bottle & points to the label & says “A” “L”... Me & my brother were rolling & explained that’s a “1”... we were no good...

I had someone do the same.

She called it AL (ALvin) Sauce

Funny someone else said that.

Man, those thin plantain chips are for birds.

Buy some TJ ones, if you don't like them, I will pay pal you the money for them

It tastes good.

But I can enjoy steaks served several ways.

That picture has descriptions for each and opinions.

Medium rare is perfect level of tender butteryness, juicyness and flavor of the meat.
