But he also conveniently leaves out the portion that I did't grow up eating red meat / pork, it wasn't in my house. So eating steak was something that I probably didn't do 10 times up until my late 20s.

Funny story about A1... Dispite my mother coming over from Korea in ‘69, she still has a heavy thick accent like she’s FOB... For years she called A1 as “Steaky AL” for yeeears... One day when we were in our late teens we were at the local Sizzler (all you can eat salad/pasta bar, steak, all you can eat fried shrimp, & cheesy bread) & she asked my brother to pass the “Steaky AL”... So we asked her why she called it “AL”... Was it some Korean thing she’s been using since the Korean War or something? So she picks up the bottle & points to the label & says “A” “L”... Me & my brother were rolling
& explained that’s a “1”... we were no good...

When I use A1 I use it more as a marinade. Heinz 57 is more versatile.
