Still have leftover skirt steak and pickled red onions from steak tacos, so I'm currently marinating the rest of the steak in olive oil, salt, pepper, lemon zest, and crushed garlic in hopes to make a nice steak & arugula salad with heirloom tomatoes and a dijon vinaigrette.

Pics to come if it doesn't suck.

Given your track record, it seems highly unlikely that it will suck.

4-5 large tomatoes
1 onion
Garlic cloves
Bay leaves (discard after boil)
Tomato paste
Any stock that you like, about two cups

Chopped up the ingredients, add to pot. Add stock and bay leaves and whatever seasoning you like. Bring to boil, reduce and simmer 20 mind or so.

Remove bay leaves, blend til smooth.

In a second pan, make a roux. Add some of the blended soup to the roux then transfer that to the pot of soup.

Simmer and stir until it thickens, add a touch of cream. Then season to taste with sugar and salt.

Damn 1stwitit 1stwitit , the soup & the grilled cheese looks great. I like to experiment with my grill cheese samiches by trying a variety of cheese & breads. Like doing munster on rye bread. I also like to occasionally switch it up by adding tomato slices & a good mustard.

jaymosenvied jaymosenvied , I haven't had katsu curry in a long time. It looks good, was it?
