FOOD THREAD VOL. GRUB LIFE

Tried it. Don't see the hype.
Yea it doesn't bring out the sweetness to me, it just tastes like Salt on watermelon

I am good
You must of had a watermelon that wasn't sweet dc because it definitely does.

First thing that pops up on Google

"watermelon is better with salt. Salt makeswatermelon taste sweeter by creating a salty sweet contrast that allows the sweetness of the melon to stand out."

If the watetmelon is already sweet I DEFINITELY See zero point in adding salt

I don't care what google says about a SUBJECTIVE thing (Taste).

I understand sweet and salty dynamic conceptually but for me it doesn't work with watermelon.

Yall can enjoy it though.

Same with apples, I know some folks that out salt on apples, doesn't work FOR ME. I just taste salt on an apple. I don't taste a sweeter apple

Overrated. Don't be mad.

Been too long since I used my smoker. Figure there’s no better day than today.

Just threw a dry rub on some St. Louis ribs. Letting them set in the fridge for a bit then putting them over some hickory.

Pics to follow if I don’t get too drunk today.

Haven't done it in a few years, but used to get a bag of salt and vinegar chips (that smell is horrible), pour some hot sauce in the bag, and shake that *** up. Flames :pimp:

I used to do this lol.
I actually love the smell of salt and vinegar chips tho. Whenever I opened a bag I'd take a big whiff

Had a can of these last night, first time in about a year. I still believe these are my favorite Salt & VInegar Chip. Might be my favorite POTATO chip period. (Potato)

On a semi related note, I been cracked out on the Salt & Vinegar Blue Diamond Almonds for the last few weeks.

How prevalent is the vinegar taste in these.
I like a lot of vinegar taste.

Yea when I first discovered those I ate a bunch lol

Salt on Apple's.

Salt on a tomato, used to do this broke boy **** as a kid. Dunno why but it was ok.

I miss these Lays

I will go for these like twice a month, love how these are lightly salted as the regular Lays is like eating a bag of salt to me. The less salt the more I can enjoy the crisp fried taste

$75 for smoked watermelon? :rollin

I must've missed the part where they sprinkled crack on it.

Already commented on how stupid it is but wow @ it being on a menu

Yep. These are dope too. Had the Sweet Thai Chili though which is very similar but not as heavy on the “wasabi” flavor and I think I like them more.

Oh, man...haven't seen the Sweet Thai Chili. Sounds REALLY good...will have to cop next time I come across. Only flavor I haven't liked is the Habanero BBQ.

there's various potato chip brands with that flavor lol

If it were "disgusting" that would not be the case

S&V is too strong. I can only eat a few. Mesquite bbq is my jam or Dorito's spicy sweet chili is my new flavor of the week.
