Same happened out here in SouthOC. Popeye's opened up and they had a cop posted to control traffic during the first month

When I finally went to order and asked for dipping sauce, they charge for extra. Never going back there again lol

Now that I think of it, it reminds me of when they finally put a Sonic in Maryland after years of showing commercials...cars was backed up and lines were OD long all for some basic Sonic food and slushies

Go by any Sonic now and its dead tho...hype is an interesting thing

Yeah, a sonic opened up on long island years back not far from my college. The car lines during lunch and late at night were crazy. I was late to class one time because I wanted to grab lunch from there.

A closer one opened up last year but I still haven’t been to it. Checkers is better anyway.

Sonic is the most basic "american" food u can get...tater tots, hot dogs, chilli fries, lil burgers etc ...u not missing anything if you haven't tried it

The drinks are cool tho, they let you mix up whatever u want ...that cherry, strawberry limeade slushy

I went to the grand opening of the local Popeyes today. The line was packed. I had to wait for over 30 minutes for my order.

This Popeyes had been under construction since last year. It became a running joke on when it was actually going to open.

There is a gas station near me and they have one of those hot dog rolling machine things.
One day I went in there and the girl working was on her break fixing one and I asked her "are those good"?

She was like "yeaaaaa you see we always sell out "

For some reason I always assumed they were gross and never even looked at them.

So I tried one and it was delicious.
The dog was thicker than the average ones you buy at a grocery store and juicier, also tasted better.

Every now and then I'll grab one and it has never been not satisfying.

Not a fan of nathans. There were 2 locations by me that are shut down now but never ordered a hot dog from them. Ordered cheeseburgers and fried seafood platter instead.

I made a deep fried sabrett dog with the casing with just mustard and sauerkraut and it was delicious. I gotta make my way to rutts
