And for dinner today smash burgers - although as one of my kids pointed out I’m not sure you can call them that if you don’t actually smash them - they were in a packet called that.

Really good though - and I’m loving my new grill.

It’s something they started charging instead of raising menu prices like they should. At lot of states do it now unfortunately. Just a way to help with inflation

That’s nuts. “Yeah, we’re not going to put the prices up, but at the end of the meal you’ll need to give us more money than you used to…”

Spent the last ten days in Japan and have thoroughly enjoyed every meal.

The gastronomy of this country is deep. Only meal I’ve had twice is a dipping ramen i ordered at a random spot in kyoto. The noodles were so good, i took an hour detour just to have it again before leaving. If anyone has had Tsujita’s ramen in LA, this was similar, only with a far less fatty broth and noodles cooked al dente. One of the best dishes i’ve had in awhile and was < $10
