FOOD THREAD VOL. GRUB LIFE

Food allergies is a foreign concept in developing countries. Didn't know it was a thing till I came here

Anyway, can't be picky when you're trying to survive. I think the west and western lifestyle/medicine interferes with natural evolution if we're being honest because nature weeds out these problems in "third world" countries.
I agree with this.

There are so many bs controversies and issues in America where I always say you wouldn’t have time for all that growing up in a 3rd world country.

Also wouldn’t be surprised if a bunch of other stuff we consume has led to these food allergies.

Apple Cider Cake Doughnuts
Yeah there's this apple orchard out here that makes that same exact thing. I'm pretty sure they have cocaine in them. They sell them by the half dozen, and I just grab 2 and hand them my card. They're probably like $400 or something. 😬🤦‍♂️ They could triple whatever the price is and we'd all still buy them

What’s everyone’s favorite donut
Yes

Y’all like your pizza burnt like this? 😫
Overcooked and burnt is no good. Char and/or leoparding on the other hand is always welcomed :emoji_fire:

Not big on donuts, but there is a spot near my brother's house in FL that has a Nutella donut...**** is good as hell, but puts you in a straight sugar coma afterwards

Other than that, I like Boston Cream and Jelly

Indian/Chinese Thai for dinner. Dessert in the city from Magnolia. I had the shrimp pakora & Gen. Tsao Chicken. Bro & his wife had veggie & paneer pakora, masala noodles, chili paneer & veggie manchurian.

I wanted the red velvet pudding from Magnolia but they only have that starting Dec through the holidays so I'll have to come back soon. The apple crisp pudding I did get was very good. Apples were yummy & soft and the loaf cake bits were fresh while the pudding wasn't overly sweet.

Made some Green seasoning a while ago

Chad Beni (Culantro), garlic, ginger, marjoram, chives, parsley, jalapeño (store didn’t have habanero) and a little vinegar to preserve

Seasoned the chicken with some of the green seasoning, some blackening and creole seasoning. Served it with leftover jollof rice

Been looking to make some Green Seasoning. Inspired by Mark Weins going to Trinidad. Will let you know how it goes.
