. It hit the spot. That's weird,Aloo is potato, so if I ask for aloo pie I don't expect the person to ask what type of filling I want. Now if they're being creative, and offering didn't fillings then it shouldn't be called aloo anymore. It should be channa pie, saltfish pie, beef pie etc. That's really strange of them.

Literally my exact thoughts & reaction. I was like wait what? Lol. Idk call us crazy but If you're going to call something "aloo pie" it should have aloo in it, lol. Pie was the regular soft flour pastry & the auntie had to repeat herself & ask me what I wanted in it? I was caught so off guard 
. Like you said it should be ___pie & call it by it's filling because there's nothing aloo about it. Channa was bangin man.I also tasted a hint of cinnamon in the gulab jamun which was different from what I'm used to being Paki so it was another great experience with Guyanese food. I've fallen in love, lol.
