FOOD THREAD VOL. GRUB LIFE

:smh: @ thrown out
Not me personally. I never let food go to waste- EVER! My mother(Allah rest & bless her beautiful soul) raised me better than that + It's a sin in Islam to do that. When I have food that is expired/moldy bread or food that I know I won't be eating I put it out for the neighborhood raccoons & birds. I'll just spread it around the grassy areas & trees in my complex. Within minutes it disappears, lol.

What I meant by thrown out is what I've observed a lot of people do after their done eating & if they have any leftovers. My co-workers in the past have done this, friends & even some of my cousins. Food is a blessing from God & to throw it away is a disregard of his blessings & a failure to comply with his orders.

zmaqbool zmaqbool Well I am never by myself when I'm getting pizza so EYE wouldn't be eating the whole pie by myself.

But I am crushing 3-5 slices in a 10-12 inch pie. (SUPER #)

We don't have nor did we ever have super cheap by the slice spots in DC. We aren't the pizza capital of the US.

So it would never be advantageous for me to buy 3+ slices forreal.
This is one of the more popular spots in DC.
If I am with someone, that is 4 slices MINIMUM.
Each slice is $4.
The whole pie is $20
I feel that I midas whale buy the whole thing.

We can just look at the cheese.

Totally understand & support getting pies over slices in this situation.

My work catered us a food truck today in our parking lot. Pulled into the warehouse and dudes were having the times of their lives.

Everybody had multiple plates. They had a pop-a-shot hoop out. Goodie bags. Drinks. I had a taco plate but I wish I had the quesaburria tacos.

Got 2 chicken and 1 asada taco. Sorry for the blue tinted pic, it was under a blue tarp lol

Not too many by slice shops out here in LA that I know of. Majority of the places sell pies. This was a shock when I first came here.

yeah sometimes you're out and about and want pizza, but can't carry half a leftover pizza around. There's a few spots in Long Beach that I've been to but they're few and far between.

Closest thing I do is hit up Blaze or Pieology, I can finish one of those off solo for lunch.

now if I'm at home or heading home? definitely getting a large and spreading it out over a few meals.

I notice a lot of places that offer personal pies but being a New Yorker I like my single slice every now and again.

If your beef patty ain't busting out the coco bread bun, you doing life wrong.

Pizzeria beef patty and Pattie’s from Jamaican spots are 2 different things tho. 1 stop patty shop on 145 Amsterdam for the jerk chicken patty with the fresh coco bread and fresh ginger juice is my favorite patty place

The coco bread helps you hold the hot temperature patty easier but kinda mutes the flavor, I prefer to skip the coco bread and eat 2 patties instead.

You think so? I thought it was to help you fill up. Never had issues holding a hot patty in the brown bag. I agree 10000% with you on mute flavor. My greedy self get two patties and one coco bread. I then split the coco bread and eat one half with one Patty and the other half with the other Patty.
