FOOD THREAD VOL. GRUB LIFE

Howlin is the highest level for me. I don't expect other places to be like that, but if anything can even approach it, I would be very happy.

still need to check out Howling Rays...are the lines still crazy?

Had no idea Dave's was LA based...

and yea seems like theres a hot chicken spot in every corner here in LA.

For real never knew there was one there. We used to go to first slice and bangbang alot.
I've been to First Slice a few times. I like their French Silk pies. Still haven't been to Bang Bang. One spot closed during covid and the other just opened back up with new hours but still closes pretty early. I'll get there eventually.

No Detroit players in here? Still no upscale restaurant recommendations?
Originally from Ann Arbor but we go down to Detroit pretty frequently when I’m home.

I haven’t been but my mom and all the homies say it’s truly an experience

Great Italian with a nice view of the river and Canada

Great brunch. Can be a challenge getting a table

"I like to think that Chipotle has educated the new consumer with their success of having spicy food," he said. "I think people have elevated their spice level."

 Must have polled the majority of The NT Food Thread.

I live in the South Bay and they have a small delivery radius so we gave Postmates the address of a random Chase Bank near Chinatown and drove up to meet the delivery guy outside the bank
I do the same thing. I just have them deliver it near USC and meet them there since the campus is open to the public.
