I'm finally posting what I had for dinner at Black Bear Diner last Friday evening.

I tried the All-You-Can-Eat Fish Fry. It's a deal they have on Fridays after 4:00PM where the fish fillets are unlimited. I chose mashed potatoes and onion rings as my sides. I was able to eat only two more fish fillets after this one.

Are those hush puppies

I never even thought about getting a burger from DQ . That seems wild .

Honestly no, I haven't.

Knew they had burgers though.

Come to think of it, the closest fast food spot to my house is a Dairy Queen.

Checkers / Rally's, out here at least, belong with Burger King. The fries are fire though.

NE and West folks don't have DQ like that so they don't know it's a full fast food joint just with lots of ice cream.

Checkers/Rally's has the GOAT fries, but everything else is either forgettable or flat-out bad IMO.

Sort of have that grilled flavor profile going on

I would choose a DQ burger over BK every time

There are 2 Fosters Freeze where I live and a DQ farther away but pretty much the same. I'd get their ice cream cone.

Good question. I believe they are although I truly don't know what that is. I saw it written in the description on the menu.

It's the first time I ever ate those too.

Not every DQ serves burgers/tenders, etc. The two closest to me are just desserts.

Sweet/sour chicken. Some shrimp fried rice with duck Thai curry. Not pictured: shrimp dumplings, fried banana fritters, fried pineapple fritters, and Thai custard. I’m about to chug a bottle of red wine and watch some Netflix for the night

Was watching my favorite Food Tuber by the name of Daym Drops and he brought to my attention that McDonalds has their own planed based burger from Beyond Meat called the McPlant Burger. Need to get my hands on that!!!!
This also made me remember when my local Backyard Burger joint use to have a veggie burger that was good. I would order it all the time with their sweet potato fries and a bowl of black or peach cobbler.

my grandmother used to take me to a dairy queen after school sometimes. used to get their steak finger basket. Dip everything in the gravy including the bread...then get an oreo cookie blizzard. good times...

I’ve had a McPlant. It was good; same level as Impossible Whopper to me.
