Man no. I never heard someone call these a "butter roll" until this thread. This isn't cultural, this isn't an age thing, and this definitely isn't regional. Especially not for you, you have the Jets logo as you avi. Jews are one of New York's largest ethnic groups. You are not walking up to a Bagel Stand asking for a "butter roll". You have never done that. You asked for a "regular" or a "plan" bagel. You did not ask for a "butter roll".
