FOOD THREAD VOL. GRUB LIFE

tay1 tay1 Honestly, I would say you might be better off grating FRESH gingers instead of using the powdered ginger. They have two distinct flavors to me.

Also, as quiet as its kept, black pepper is a good addition to Sweet "Potatoe's" as welll.

Fresh is always better. I would probably grate it very fine so it could be incorporated better. I’m not used to using fresh ginger so I’d have to play with the amount used

Ifk about black pepper tho. I may have to try that on a baked sweet potato

I use this as a shortcut for fresh Ginger sometimes -

That works for Stews but when it comes to fully solid food items, I would opt for Fresh Ginger.

But if you are in a bind and don't have the real thing, that works as well.

Just had some mashed sweet potatoes.

Salt
Pepper
Cinnamon
Ginger

Solid.

I respect kayfabe and if this is your "gimmick" can we pause for a second please.

I come in peace.

When was the last time you had a meal (3 items min) that didn't consist of any pre-packaged items?

Something I never tried before. Chicken carnitas quesadilla with roasted broccoli, carmelized onions and peppers

Marinated the chicken with a lil bacon fat, chipotle pepper sauce, juice from oranges, and various seasonings

Mixed everything together and put on tortilla. Also put cheese on top

Final Result. Was good for the first time making it. Randomly thought of it. Only changes I would make is to use red bellpeppers instead of green, and to use a different cheese and more cheese. More cheese would've set it off.
