I see videos from that "smiling chef" guy that makes all the Turkish food where he employs a similar method for cooking huge cuts of lamb, but his stuff at least comes out cooked and looking somewhat appetizing. That steak was still raw.Old school cooking method, but he barely did anything. Some delicious **** have come out of that method like jerk or barbacoa.
Also eliminates the best part about a nice cut like a ribeye or a porterhouse, which is the crust formed by the sear.
I award it no points, and may God have mercy on its soul.
