FOOD THREAD VOL. GRUB LIFE

By finest I just meant BBQ in general. Chain or not it showed up on every top BBQ spot list in the city I’m in.

But please, tell me more about where you’re “pretty sure” you think I was.

Because I figured the photo of the arch was a dead giveaway. But apparently not.

I'm from the area... I haven't heard of a sugar fire in STL (though I could be wrong) but I have been to the one in Fairview Heights/O'Fallon, which is right on the IL/MO boarder. Check your receipt.

I swear dudes hit unprecedented levels of stupidity by the day in here

Funny I went to Ledo's with my daughters on Saturday got basically the same thing except add bacon. Was just average they had precooked bacon instead of fresh bacon, girls loved their food though so I didn't mind.

- Au Cheval
- West Loop, Chicago
- Single (two patties) Cheeseburger with bacon and egg
- Fries with egg with mornay and garlic aioli
- Bread & butter pickles
Looks like boar's head bacon that my Harris Teeter cuts, will get some this week for breakfast and post pics. Love thick bacon.
Alright fellas. Decided to not only cook more meals at home, but expand my cooking itinerary. Any suggestions?
Hard to say what are you able to cook? I sometimes hit up Barnes & Noble and buy those $5 cooking books on the front table. They have tons of recipes but keep in mind some recipes aren't for everyone.

Nah, my grandma makes yams. No marshmallows in those typically (to my knowledge).

My girl calls her dish “sweet potato casserole”. They’re quite different.

Yams are much better in my opinion.

I made the classic mistake of convincing myself that I'm not a huge salmon fan after only having other people cook it for me. Decided to revisit it tonight by doing a no-flip version in the cast iron with a miso/hot honey glaze.

This is fire. Just reminds me of a more moist/tender/flavorful version of chicken breast. Definitely gonna be doing more fish recipes moving forward.
