Finishline Credit Card errors and Holiday Retro releases

lol yall stupid i have never experienced any problems with FNL they are the best for online releases. them and NDC. everyone else is trash. maybe its yall banks processing methods or maybe yall entering the numbers in wrong. or maybe some of yall just aint got the funds

fNL customer service finally told me today my PayPal account is flagged and I cannot purchase from them for 30 days because there were seven purchases in q 30 day period from the same PayPal account. Wtf is wrong with them?
 
Finishline is lying to you guys because I was able to make a purchase with a credit card on Sunday that I wasn't able to use on Friday. It's such BS.
 
I've had multiple conversations over the phone and via e-mail with the Head of Customer Support for Finishline. And even she can't give me a straight answer, other than there is something wrong with their system and they don't know how to fix it. I tried using the same card for multiple release's and got through once, but denied with the error probably about 5 or 6 times.. I was on the phone with her and she put the order in on there computer with the same card/info and it went through no problem.. I think it probably has to do more with IP address and hitting submit multiple times on the same order since that automatically flags it for fraud.. Whatever the case may be, I tried to give them my business countless times but got tired of jumping through hoops only to miss out on something. They are literally my LAST RESORT when it comes to trying to cop a Release day shoe.
 
Surprisingly, I was able to get a pair of Crimson 3s last Saturday. It took me forever to get them on FTL. But I was like, lol, let me try on FNL and went through.

The only caveats, since I'm the original complainer is there probably wasn't as heavy traffic last Saturday. I think that is part of the issue. The other was the Crimson seemed to be a decent sized GR and not sure if their system treats them the same like a Joker/Stealth 3 or Bred 13.
 
I was able to get the Kobe's yesterday surprisingly. Back when the restocks were going on I talked to FNL customer service and explained none of my cards would go through. She asked for one of my card numbers. I gave it to her and she must have ran it and said all is fine and said maybe its the ph# I was using.

I kindly told her none of my info has changed. I've been using the same ph# for 12 years. She talked to a manager who again couldn't give any reason. So today I try to use several cards with no luck before finally using the one she tried on our phone call and it worked. Don't know what to make of it, but I guess I will only use this card on FNL.

Bro I think YOU are the one who is stupid...I rarely reply when people post garbage but this one got me .38...FNL has a garbage website with multiple problems. It's luck of the draw when it comes to copping anything from them. So congratulations, I'm glad it works everytime for you, but the rest of us have been denied for no good reason. I dont think this many people's banks would have strange processing methods, and Im positive that the during the multiple times we have to enter in credit cards to attempt a purchase, we check the numbers. And I cant speak for everyone but my *** aint broke! Get off your high horse and if you dont have any issues with FNL than get out this thread. I hope your next order cancels

At least my payments to FNL usually aren't held for longer than 48 hours after a cancellation. Eastbay on the other hand take money immediately and doesn't even show as pending..... Just got a cancellation for black/volt XX8s. Slap in the face when they send out of stock email with a measly 10% coupon, but not refund money right away. 0] Excuse the rant it's only my 20th cancellation from eastbay in a few years.

FNL checkout today on the He Got Game 13s for me was a terrible experience had these in my cart on the mobile and regular site and then I get the dreaded error that my payment funds can't be authorized.  Funny because beginning of the week when I purchased a pair or Nike running shoes it was fine, same card, same funds.  I even called me CC company and they said they didn't block any authorizations (which has happened in the past when trying to buy multiple pairs).  There check out system is a joke!!!
 
I had them in my Cart and used Paypal, used CC it wouldn't authorize. Then I attempted with my debit card, it still didn't authorize. After all the sizes were sold out I said "bump it I'll cop the crazy 8's since they black and white too. Did the same process, selected PayPal payment, used the same CC that didn't authorize for Jordan's and BAM I get authorization page. WTF finishline??
 
FNL is one of the best sites, better than non stop clicking add to cart on EB or NDC bots.. Just give them a call and they will help you out. I called about getting some winner circle coupons mailed to my house before
 
Finishline is seriously the worst site. That waiting page has to be the most annoying thing ever..
 
I disagree with the item being sold out. Yesterday, same credit card issues in trying to get the BHM AJ 1. I texted my brother to get the shoes for me, it went through. And I figure he went online five minutes after.

Don't get me started on Wednesday. I know they had the WC 88s in stock, but I was just stuck in an endless loop of SPA or payment issues (mostly payment issues). And I did use the back door that was posted, but I tried to use my girl's CC to ship it to me, which was dumb.

The issue is your flagged profile, which might include your name, address and payment methods, ie CC #, PayPal, etc. I called their customer service and a rep told me it's an issue with their payment system. When your account is flagged, it prevents you from purchasing high-profile releases for 30 days. Mind you, I haven't been able to buy a pair of Jordan's since Dec 21. Missed out on the Bred 11s, Thunder 4s, Chicago AJ 1s, Bred 13s, WC 3s and BHM 1s.

I was able to buy the Squadron 13s on NDC without a problem. Later that morning, I, what the FA manager called "making it rain" at the mall when I copped the Kobe Pythons, Lebron Homes and Jet Foams. My CC company didn't call me or tried to block the charges.

Did anyone who had a flagged account use gift cards? I wouldn't have an issue of doing this for major releases. Sort of Pre loading funds.

And, I'm not cool with the SPA page. It is pretty random and doesn't work the way it's intended. The system FA/FTL/Champ's/Eastbay uses is more fair, I just can't stand how their site crawls to a halt.

NDC has the best infrastructure but to many people "gaming" the system. They'll post a twitter link and sizes will be sold out.

But the best way to buy shoes and most inconvenient is to just go to the store. I've down it with the AJ1, Bred 13s, Fire Red Vs, BHM Bron/Kobe and yesterday's releases and managed to get a pair.

I doubt it has anything to do with "profiles being flagged". I know a rep said that but, there's times when I can get through and other times where I can't. It doesn't make any sense because I use the same payment method.
 
Jordans (the way they have been releasing the past 4 years)+ credit card sounds all bad to me

Same story this Saturday when trying to buy the Taxi's, now flagged for 30 days...SMH.
 
Would love to use fnl.com but too risky as i found out last year. Time better spent on another website that wont discriminate
 
What a joke...here is the latest update now, plus the whole story:

So this Saturday, as everyone else, I am trying to cop some Taxi's, same why, same card/paypal, no changes whatsoever. 

I am got errors multiple times, I tried 4 times, 2 times with PP and 2 times with the card alone, same result - errors and pending charges in the bank statement.

Finally gave up and moved on that day

Monday I called FNL CS to ask for some details, after all I have at least 8 or 9 major purchases with them this year alone. They could not give me a reasonable explanation why was rejected, but promised to release my blocked founds in a few days.

So far, do good...

Today, I tried to cop another pair that is on discount (Air Veer) and used a coupon as well - and I get the same error... 

So got suspicious and called them again, but before that called PP to verify all is good with them and my account, and they confirmed that.

This time around I was transferred 4 times with different departments, but finally got with the right person, or at least I think I did.

After waiting on hold for some time, she came back and told me I was flagged and will have to wait for 30 days to be able to purchase...

Well I politely told her that is not an option for me and I need more details why was I flagged in a first place.

Some more time on hold, and she came back again to explain that after the second unsuccessful attempt I was flagged and the 30 days can not be shorten at all, I have to do my 30 sentence.

I asked why was the payment unsuccessful the first time and she gave me a few suggestions:

- Misspelling on my end in the address details - Told her I never changed anything and always use the same details which are remembered by my browser anyway.

- Not matching details between PP and the ones on the site - Gave the same answer.

- Not matching between the card associated with PP and my FNL account address - Again same answer

- Ordering not form a US IP - To which I was very surprised, in fact I am outside of the country at the moment, but I have been for more than an year now, and never had problems.

Side note, I did use company US VPN to order in the past on some occasions, but not always and this Saturday I tried both, first the US VPN and than the regular IP, I guess they have a track on every IP a customer use

Finally, later today, again I decided to try again. PP still gave me the same error, regardless of what connection or IP I use.

But wait, when I used the CC directly it worked with no problem!!! How is that even possible, I thought I was flagged for 30 days...

The mystery of FNL continues...

When I receive my order will call them again to ask how come was I able to order even though have 30 days ban...
