F1 Official Thread - Grand Prix of Britain

This is really good.
VERY impressive job by the winner.
And it's a good history lesson!

Why are they all struggling with the latter years

Kimi is hilarious

I got up to 93 and I only started in 2007.

The head knowledge by the winner Gadamn!

2007 Mclarens. So beautiful.
Indianapolis 2007 was a good race. Took me ages to find it for download.

Loved the shenanigans in Canada 2013. Both of them were very corteuous over the DRS line.

If you knew this, why would you put it forward as new evidence?
The new evidence is proof that the car definitely doesn't have 1L of fuel inside

Now they want to appeal it too

FIA gonna write some new guidelines to stop people wasting their time after this and the Red Bull appeal.

Yeah, he did seem to come off as a bit of a jerk in these Grill the Grid vids... in all of them, in fact. I think they were all filmed on the same day, so maybe he was having a bad day or something. Either way, he did seem different from how I've seen him in the Unboxed vids as well as his streams.

I knew right away, when he made that deadpan joke at the end, that some on "F1 Twt" would lose their ish over it... and they did! 😆

Anyway, here's the supercut!

No surprise there. Japan is still in a bit of a mess and this was always likely to be happening.

not surprised, but very unfortunate for Honda.

All of this is super complicated to plan for F1, because of the covid dynamics (in a positive and/or negative way).

Turkey is currently on the red list of the British government (7 teams must go in quarantine for 10 days). This either has to change or F1 must get an exception. Or they need another track to host the race on the 10th of October. Or switch the dates of the Russian and Turkish GP.
A lot of uncertainty for F1 to work with...

There are plans of a second race in Austin on the 17th of October to replace Japan. But with Turkey on the red list + 10 days of quarantine, there's not enough time for the teams to make it work.

Plus they can't push it further back, because Brazil GP is on the 7th November (promoters want to push it back to the 14th). Problem: Brazil and Mexico are also on the British red list...

Qatar is a possible replacement for Australia
