Ocon’s performances had dropped off after he signed his extension. This should silence the critics for a while. Happy for him.

Lewis closed 7 seconds in a lap and half after passing Alonzo. 2-3 more laps and both Seb and OCON would’ve been food

^ IIRC, Lewis was doing 18's or 19's, while Ocon was in the 22's. A Merc on brand new Mediums vs a Renault on heavily used Hards. 
The performance difference could not have been more extreme.
Got taken out by Charles, who was taken out by Lance. Lance only gets a 5 place pen for Spa, despite ruining the races of several cars.
Daniel had a lot of damage to his car, compounding his troubles on a car that's already tough to drive. Frankly, I was surprised he was able to finish the race. I think the team should have just retired the car to limit the damage.
It was a sensational drive by Lewis, but there were a lot of factors on how he was able to make up so much ground. He was stuck behind Mick for soooo long despite having the faster car. It was the fastest car vs the slowest car... but Lewis just couldn't get past him. That just shows how tough this track is. The key moment for him was Merc boxing him where he was able to jump both Max and Daniel. After that, he was able to make his way up the grid, with fresher tyres vs the guys in front. Max, meanwhile, was stuck with a broken car. His whole right bargeboard was gone... I can't imagine how that thing was handling. Anyway, when Lewis boxed a 2nd time for Mediums, he had a tyre adv to Nando and Carlos. Cred to Nando on fighting him as hard as he did. We know the Merc doesn't do that well following cars. On equal tyres, it would have been much more difficult for him.

Ocon could be in trouble with the radio comms but I doubt the FIA want the results changed.

Drivers can't talk to the team on formation lap. But isn't the lap to the grid after a red flag a safety car lap? Should be fine to communicate in this case, shouldn't it?

Still a formation lap.
Safety car lap would have the safety car leading the pack and it won't be a standing start.
Looks like the summons were regarding the pre and post race procedures and not radio comms.
That one could be coming later.

As far as I know, the driver can talk to the pit, but the pit cannot talk to the driver during the formation lap.

Merc messed up then. Thought they weren't allowed to tell him to come in but sounds like they just thought more rain was coming.
All clear for Ocon and honestly, it's good to hear he keeps the win.

Radio is allowed "with the exception of the period between the start of the formation lap and the start of the race, there will be no limitations on messages teams send to their drivers either by radio or pit board”
Red flag restart falls under article 42 of the Sporting Regs as the resumption of the race and formation laps aren't mentioned at all

Yea, Merc have to take the blame for that.
Lewis wouldn't have come out in P1 since Merc is at the bottom so he would've have lost the lead for a safe pit box exit but they wouldn't have been plum last.
I won't lie though, this made me laugh and shake my head at the same time.
