F1 Official Thread - Grand Prix of Britain

And they won!
Apparently, Fernando had teammates too?!

There really wasn't any competition between the two Toyotas and team orders decided it in the end. Conway was catching up so fast. :ohwell:

But this sport having thousands of overtakes in a race compared to F1

Man, overtaking backmarkers and other classes is tricky! Fernando almost got tripped up. Says a lot when car #7 was down a lap at the beginning, but still ended up 1s off P1. I know three SC's made a huge difference, but still. Weren't they supposed to get a penalty for overtaking under the SC?

Williams is a disaster... absolutely horrible

I think it will be difficult for Stoffel to keep his place at McLaren next year.

On sky UK they said, that Wehrlein might take the place of Hartley around the Canadian GP :nerd:

Fernando in P8. :nthat:
I really hope Stoff will be able to step it up. I know he's better than this.

Can't find the right balance on the W09 they said...
The W09 is a diva they said...

Hopefully Mercedes are on top of their cars issues but I'm not convinced.

These tyres will only be back in France and Silverstone so if it was the tyres then Mercedes are still in trouble for the 14 other circuits.

Great drive by Lewis. 20 sec gap and another record gone.

Max with that crashing streak but hey he got a podium

^ the crash streak still continues

Mercs untouchable in this race. :x Seb's pit stop unlucky timing and not really on pace to compete today. :\ Just hope the team turns things around. Merc starting to pull away in the constructors. Good to see Leclerc improving... even gave Nando some trouble.

Williams is just depressing. Poor Grosjean

Lewis :pimp: Mercedes :pimp: Bottas :pimp:

great result and great strategy from Ferrari! :D
luckily Bottas got P2 back, after the pitstop ruined his great performance against Vettel

It's a shame how much bad luck Kimi has...

Looking at the start again, Bottas just stayed in a straight line.
He didn't bother to pick up the tow from Lewis and lost 2nd place as a result.

He needs more of a fighting spirit IMO.
