The aura of invincibility was gone. A Pac-10 team coming into the OB and winning? Espcially when FSU was bodying everyone by 30+?

Really though, one of the other things that took down the U was quarterback issues. Frank Costa, Ryan Clement, Ryan Collins, Scott Covington, all them dudeswas garbage. The defense was still solid but they couldn't score consistently.

It isn't worth it financially to play Miami. The Swamp will be sold out no matter who we play. To play Miami UF has to give up millions of dollars (from ticket sales, concessions, etc.), and Jeremy isn't ready to do that. College football is a business, let's not pretend it isn't.

Why should UF essentially pay 4 million every other year to pay Miami? Can you make a list of logical reasons UF should play UM? And you being a rival isn't a logical reason. I want Miami on the schedule but that;s because I'm a fan and I don't have to balance a budget.

What the hell are you talking about? UF played Charleston Southern, Troy, an my alma mater FIU and you are telling me that UF would lose money playing the Canes?

Like King James already said...losing that home game would cost the program a lot of money. And since when do ratings generate money?

UFalways sells their tickets so it's a mute point. Maybe if the UGA game was moved from Jax (which they aren't going to do) it would work, but the Swampis the cash cow for the athletic department as they have to support a lot of these other useless sports on campus...cough...women's lacrosse...cough

A home and home makes no sense for the reasons I've already mentioned.

This year the UAA reported operating income to be 6.6 million. Take away a home game every other year and that's down to 2.6. Only factoring in interestexpense which is almost 3 and boom, the UAA is relying on investments to stay out of the red (not a sustainable business model). Even though UF is a stateschool, the athletic department doesn't take state money.

It's not an accident that softball has gone to the championship games 2 years in a row, gymnastics competes for national titles (damn you UGA), volleyballwins the SEC like 15 years in a row (before this year), basketball wins titles, soccer won the regular season SEC title, baseball was a 1 seed in their regionfor the post season (I know FSU and UM are legit in baseball).

And dre, I'm glad you realize this. Step your game up and people will stop *****ing at UF. Nobody complained when FSU was a top 5 team every year.

How many elite programs have a locked opponent OOC that should be a top 15 team every single year? USC, ND?

FSU, UGA, UT, LSU, BAMA, next year. What's so awful about that?
