Elon Musk trying to buy Twitter (edit: deal has been finalized)

When did the home feed start showing tweets from people I don't follow? Did that start with Elon?

I checked twitter this morning and the first tweet I see is some dork thanking Elon because he got to drink 6 red bulls while coding all night.

I think once you refresh your home feed, if you see that button in the upper right that looks like two stars, you can change it from “Have Feed show ‘Latest Tweets’ instead of ‘Top Tweets’”… that might clear that issue up.

Twitter app/site sucks. You get suggested tweets by people you don't even follow. Use a 3rd party app and you'll only get tweets from people you follow.

are these pages non existent now? i don’t understand the downfall. is it really about to die?
With the verified troll accounts, it may become trickier for agencies and orgs to convey time-sensitive messages to the public. Before Elon's takeover, the checkmark was a guarantee that the account was official, which meant that the public could trust whatever was posted (such as alerts related to impending disasters or public safety).

The comment highlights the role of Twitter as a public utility, which is an aspect that should be talked about more.

As I said before, they should color code the check marks to separate organizations, politicians, celebrities

People have decided to convince themselves that twitter is dead or on its way

Other things that these people have convinced themselves of recently:

Tesla makes faulty or undesirable cars
Space X makes useless rockets
Starlink provides horrible Internet service

It's honestly so helpful during wildfire season here in CA with our local FD. Instant updates for things like containment percentage, spread, evacuations, and community center openings.

If there’s one thing I want to invest in it’s someone that has to be super successful in all these different things without compromising any of them:

-Most important social media platform
-Electric vehicle-leading company
-Space exploration company
-Battery company (if he’s still in that?)

Like you can’t invest because no one person can commit their attention to that many things.

What exactly does this prove?

That Tesla isn't immune to recalls?

They have issues like every other car manufacturer

I'll take a malfunctioning taillight over this kia hyundai situation any day
