Kinda makes sense now, like the flu and many viruses. Some just flare up, when our immunes are weak. Just weird tho, if that nurse‘s immunity hits its shelf life and she gets contagious from a flare up or out break.
You dont cure the virus, you take care of the body so it can fight the virus itself.how is ebola, a virus, cured? so the nurse who caughy the virus is now virus free? or did her antibodies developed it to where she could control it?
guessing ebola is assympotoic?

Sooo im an enviornmental contractor, i get a call from my boss after working at Columbia when im on the palisades to head back to the city and check on something "small", this business is a little crazy with you never knowing where your headed. Anyway, Im on 147th and I see all these news trucks, at first I pay it no mind but then I play back in my head how sketchy and vague my boss was on the phone. I decide to check the news and whadda ya no, front pg of the daily news is this ebola **** on 147th st. 5 mins later I get an email saying the job is cancelled. So either my boss purposely did not tell me I was about to walkin into a possibly ebola affected apt or he cancelled the job after he found out what was really going on. I havent talked to him since but ill see him tmw morning. If he knew about this and was still sending me without a notification of what i was getting into then im quitting on the spot. Mind you, we have never done this type of work. We do mold, asbestos, lead etc.....not deadly disease remediation.....*****hh , crazy day
I got there at 430, it wasnt blocked off then, ******** of press was out tho......it is possible it couldve been a neighboring unit in that apartment but i doubt it. My boss has had our guys clean up all types of other stuff tho, crime scenes, oil spills, feces.....so I dont put it past him one bit. Email also said I was meeting an inspector from the health dept in the lobby, I have never mer a health dept employee at a job before. Luckily I didnt go in there and make a fool of myself when Im sure theyd be asking all types of questions im not equipped to answer

Well, thanks for clarifying that earlier.
Anyway, I really don't see the big deal here. ultimately, you got sent to a job, you have no idea what the job was, and your boss called you off of it. Also, if it was the Ebola apartment, it's entirely possible your boss wasn't at liberty to discuss it, and you'd find out when you got there (hence, the health inspector, who would assess the situation).
No matter what, if that was the apartment in question (does the address match where you were going?), you probably weren't getting anywhere near it, considering the only people who've gone in have hazmat suits on.
oh.. you thought pharmaceutical companies were non-profits?no vaccine for ebola for almost 20+ years but they'll be one by january. Yea this is all for $.
