Ebay StockX Goat Etc.

So a seller didn't ship shoes until the exact date of the deadline at which point I could open up a case. What happens if I still open up a case?

Yeah, they gotta fix the non-paying bidder BS. Today marks the fourth time in about 2 months that I’ve accepted an offer and the buyer just ghosts me. Pretty ridiculous that you can require immediate payment for BIN but not best offer. If places like GOAT and SX can capture payment when an offer is accepted, why can’t eBay? Where else can you enter a legal contract to buy something then get 4 days to maybe make a payment?
🤔Last time I placed an offer I had to confirm a payment method in order to place it and "I never flaked on an offer in my life" (dom turetto voice)

They'll probably look up tracking to see if it actually shipped or just a number provided. If it's in transit doubt you have any recourse.

these so called "sneakerheads" these days are a different breed

I'm patiently waiting for them to move on from sneakers

eBay sent me a pair of used shoes that passed authentication.

The shoes were listed as “New” in the auction.

Seller doesn’t accept returned. Called eBay, sent pictures. They offered me $100 off to keep the shoes, or to send the shoes back and they’ll inspect them and give me a refund.

While on the phone with the guy, he tells me how they could passed authentication.

How “New” can mean several different things. How “New” shoes can be tried on in stores and still be new. How “Deadstock” can mean different things to different people.

The shoes had dirt on the bottoms, conveniently not shown in pics.

I don’t know anyone else’s definition, but new mean new never worn so don’t compare a tried on shoe with a shoe with creases abs dirt on the bottoms.

I wanted to reach through the phone and

I had a dude submit an offer and as soon as I accepted it he said “cancel please, I was trying to make a point”

My favorite is after an auction ends then they send you a 100,000 questions about the shoes, ask for in depth photos of all kinds of angles, then tell you they're gunna pay on Friday when they get paid.

And what point was he trying to make?

Usually when they do that they don’t pay…they say that **** like I’m gonna forget

I have my auctions set up to open a dispute automatically after 7 days

Mine is setup to dispute after 7 days too but deadbeat bidders don’t care, because eBay does nothing to them.

Had my first idiot encounter in a while. All my listings are set for BIN with immediate payment. Dude buys it, pays for it, then a few hours later sends me a message saying he made a mistake purchasing the item. Had a feeling. 0 feedback and had a strange name. No biggie. I relisted the item the same night and someone else bought it a few hours later. Needless to say, I blocked the dead beat.

Honestly whenever I get offers on stuff and it’s 0 feedback I’m hesitant to accept them. Unless it goes through the authenticity program where you are super protected as a seller, it’s not worth the risk

Aaaahhhhh, I need to try that!
I'll include when I'm taking offers you'll be able to submit it through the listing., So I'm only an *** and not an *** hole I don't even offer a lower price through people watching my item anymore. I don't find that it results in sales.

eBay automatically re-list the auction if it doesn’t sell and once I get an offer, NOPE gotta edit and take that option away!

I used my PO Box address for the longest time on ebay. Never had any issues. What you can also do is use the actual address of the Post office it’s going to and just put your box # as if you lived in an apartment complex.

This seems to only happen to me if I manually relist an item. I did it for the pair I mentioned up above, sure enough, got an email with an best offer. Hate when they do that ish!

if it were shoes and going through the authenticity program I would have just sent them 🤷‍♂️

won't lie, I'll contact a seller with an offer even if they don't have the best offer feature on the auction :lol
