yeah I was in junior high when the af1s came out lol, I think they were all Japanese exclusives. the white cocoas and the reflectives came out in like 01 and the black cocoas in 05. knew nothing about sneakers back then but I remember seeing a lot of people with fakes of the black cocoas

Just got my pairs from end. Total paid $140 and these are sitting at my local Undefeated. I guess these are getting no love, people will be sorry in a couple years once they are all gone.

After receiving my pair, I now know what you guys are saying about the toe box. The cut is terrible, at least my toes wont hurt with my shields.

Kinda surprised that these sted moving a little more over the last couple days. My usual sites that I expected to hold them are actually missing a couple sizes. I might pull the trigger closer to the middle of this month if they keep moving at this pace

Those linens are dope but I wish they were a low. I can see me holding out on them too. They are doing a great job of retroing cool colorways from the early 2000's tho.

I haven't worn them yet, but I can tell from he toe box there will be room. I always get the same size in regular/SB dunks and AJ1's.

Wow! I still have my acorns from the outlet drop so many years ago but I prefer dunks to af1s and I love what Nike is doing here

They'd butcher the AF1s. This is a pattern, and one that actually works for them, I must say.

They know that these CWs are made famous the enthusiasts of the particular model on which they were originally released. But, they can't really retro the CW on that model itself because the OG tastemakers in that shoe will crap on them because they can't do the original justice. ....They know that retro-ing Linens is not going to revive the AF1. So, they take iconic CWs and jump them across models. Now, you get some AF1s heads who buy the other model because of the novelty. You get people who can't afford/find the original who buy the other model as a consolation prize. And, you get the people who like the other model because it becomes a bit of a cross over shoe and is likely to be one of the more desired pairs of that model. ...All the while, they lower the bar execution-wise because they never have to actually compete with the original inspiration shoe or incur the brunt of the harsh criticism they would receive if they tried to recreate the original.
