Any recs on some black loafers?

Anyone into cowboy boots? I have one pair and looking for another with a slim shaft that I can wear with slim jeans. Probably going exotic - either ostrich or phyton. A couple of brands offer zip up cowboy boots that basically look like Chelsea boots.

Do y'all let your wives/gfs shop for you when it comes to clothes?

That's the one thing I keep coming across when I read reviews online when shopping for clothes.

Find it odd cuz I don't see dudes shopping for their wives/gfs when it comes to clothes

Going to a wedding and the attire is “vintage” or “unique” just not really traditional if possible. I’m part of the ceremony and my only requirement is I have to wear a light blue tie for it

So I was thinking about getting a brown suit like this and going with this color combo with a white or cream shirt and light blue tie

What do y’all think?

And any suggestions for shoes I could wear with it?

Color combo looks good. I would go with a lighter color brown shoe or maybe a cognac

i wouldn't. i would go with dark brown shoes as the tie seems to be the piece your groom wants to tie everyone together. so that's the color you want to stand out.
wearing lighter shoes will take away from that as your shoes will stand out as well. i'm also against wearing brighter shoes to a more formal occasion. but this is personal opinion as the theme is unique so im sure you will be fine either way. the vintage theme lends itself to darker shoes as well though.

Yeah, good point. Black shoes (or dark brown) would be better suited for the vintage look he’s going for

Meermin is running their semi-annual seconds sale right now.

Definitely recommend for anyone in the market for new dress shoes. $100-$160 for a quality pair (imo, better than Allen Edmonds at this point) though sizes are hit and miss on the site.

Started to account for shrinkage when I buy clothes cuz most clothes shrink when washed and dried

Good looks. How's the sizing?

There’s a lot written across various forums about the specific lasts so if you’re unsure, I’d ask Google and skim the results.

I feel fortunate that I have generally always been a 12US in dress shoes; I’ve ordered an 11UK in all three pair of Meermin I currently own and they all fit. A touch snug at first, but all have been conforming to my foot nicely.

I have heard the unlined suede loafers can go down another 0.5 size but I don’t have personal experience with that. My leather loafers are perfect in my regular size.
