word? Jacket has a sheen to it like a suit jacket. No detailings of a blazer or sport coat at all.
Not when it's a suit jacket. If it's a blazer/sport coat, sure.

The only difference would be patch pockets, top stitching instead of pick on the lapel, no shoulder padding and maybe a center vent instead of dual vents.

I think it's fine. I wear suit jackets with other trousers all the time.

Some of these guys take all the rules too seriously which takes the fun/creativity out of it.

I've worn a navy chalk stripe trousers with navy suit jacket before. Also wore a gray suit jacket with jeans as well. I guess the navy chalk stripe trousers and navy jacket would qualify as two shades of blue too. I liked the final products for all outfits. Will do again.

No, because those are all awful mismatches. I can see the two shades of blue working though.

I didn't say that every single pattern, texture, material, color, etc. go together. I said there's nothing wrong with mismatching. Mismatching can work, but there's also plenty of situations where it doesn't work.

Other than have the sleeves shortened anything else I should get done?


Also my shoulders have always been uneven and it really shows when I'm wearing a jacket. Can this be fixed by my posture? and if not is there anything a tailor can do to help it not seem so uneven

I can't pinpoint it exactly but something about the blazer looks way off and I don't think it's something a tailor can fix easily

When I said slightly, I meant slightly. Slightly different shades of blue suit jacket and trouser would look off at the very least.

I'd love to see that chalkstripe and navy suit jacket combo.

Too short on him (body and sleeves) and high button stance. Messing up body proportions. Makes his torso short and stocky.

I don't like how closed the quarters are but when she was pinning the back it was pulling too much in the front so I just left it as is. Only got the sleeves shorten

Fit is great, except for one thing: when I close the jacket there is a slight amount of tugging. Should I just return the suit, or can I move the button ever so slightly in hopes to remedy this issue.

Doubt it. Tugging means its too tight. Placement of the buttons is vertical not horizontal. It will probably affect how the lapel is rolled too. Some jackets allow for taken out. You should visit a tailor and have them open the sides to check for extra fabric.
