Dressing Better Vol 2.0

Bmi is a poor indicator for health.

this. a lot of athletes are considered obese if you use BMI
Definitely since muscle weighs more than fat. But it is what it is. The company needs to measure tens of thousands of employees. I suggested bringing in a tank so we can get dunked to measure body fat percentage and got turned down. I was gonna come in my camo swim trunks and all too.

A lot of people still don't meet the bmi though sadly. The year round snacking and bad eating habit is hard to break.

Guys I just made a thread about the hat giveaway. Please enter your name there if you are interested in the fedora. Only do so if you actually will wear the hat for yourself though. All DBNT regulars will get two entries for the raffle if interested. Thanks again! :hat

Not a tailor but my company has a healthy iniatitive. If your bmi is within range you get around $700 added to your annual bonus. My true waist is 32" but when they measured me they pulled the measuring tape so tight they got it down to a 29" :lol I would've been within bmi either way though. It was funny she told me to stand still and gave the tape a nice twist.
Hmmm I'm surprised this hasn't been disputed as some form of discrimination, especially in today's lawsuit-happy generation.

It'd be cheaper to just lose the weight than to file a lawsuit that will take years to finish. Lose a few pounds and add to that bonus. Money is a good motivator for most things.

It's a voluntary program. In work in directly with HR and our team of attorneys are highly paid and happy :lol I live in the sue me state, bro.

We have a weight loss challenge program too which is voluntary. But it has no correlation with our bonus. The extra bonus is why I said that, since it is not performance based.

I am almost certain thats a no, J. Crew and J. Crew Factory are two separate entities

I like it Carlin, nice fit man.

edit: There's absolutely nothing wrong with mismatching.

Carlin's look is great! How is this mismatching? Navy and Gray/Charcoal is a classic combination. Most people do navy jacket and gray slacks, the inverse looks just as great if not more awesome!

Looks like mismatched suit jacket and pants....bad.

Neither is part of a suit.

word? Jacket has a sheen to it like a suit jacket. No detailings of a blazer or sport coat at all.

you're not a fan of switching jackets and pants? I think it looks great as long as the colors and textures go together well.

Not when it's a suit jacket. If it's a blazer/sport coat, sure.

Ahhhh I see what you're saying then.

I always just thought we men wear an odd jacket and trousers they were from separate suits.

I wasn't talk about the colors. It's mainly about the fabrics and details.

Google it. :lol

This is actually the consensus in menswear.

This is the linen blazer I got from Uniqlo, taking it in to get altered in a little bit.

Other than have the sleeves shortened anything else I should get done?

Also my shoulders have always been uneven and it really shows when I'm wearing a jacket. Can this be fixed by my posture? and if not is there anything a tailor can do to help it not seem so uneven

So you're absolutely fine with all of these scenarios? Off the top of my head...

Pinstripe suit trousers and different solid suit jacket? And vice versa?
Two slightly different shades of blue between the suit trousers and suit jacket?
Suit jacket and Jeans?
