SF launched a thing where every day a 'battle' of outfit is polled..one from SWD (the more casual side), and the other from MC (the more dressed up side). This was today's....man when I saw the thread, I voted based on the pictures alone. Some of the folks really went into details. I had no chance of winning, nor do I care to...judging by the screen name, my opponent was on that other level already.

They are SLIM, man. Even for my standard. It's just going to be t shirt, these, and some loafers....nothing out the ordinary. I loved jorts in high school, especially the shiny reflective ones

Having a hard time finding a dark daily casual shoe. Was eyeing a tan pair of Cole Haan lunars but I'm not about that oxford life while back and forth on campus all day. No really looking for sneakers either i.e. purcells Any recs?

If you can button the jacket, no, it's not too slim for you. Solid, simple outfit.
What kind of life are you seeking?
Lunargrands are a great "hybrid", really casual but "dressed up" to a majority of folks.
You can't go wrong with Clark Desert Boots, if you plan to do a lot of walking get some gel inserts.
If you don't want Jack Purcells, I will recommend New Balance (Not a fan personally), Air Max 1's, Flyknits, Free Run 2's. All have a slim/low profile and are comfortable as hell. Can't go wrong with Vans either. I'm a fan of Dunks and AJ1's due to their low profile. Although I've "dressed up", III's and IV's as well.
Cue the high end designer stuff... not my alley... take it away Johnny!

I like everything, but the jacket looks a bit too slim? Can you button it? Also, not sure if you're sagging or not, if so, don't. I think something like the silhouette of Levi's 514 may work for you. Try on a pair at your local Macy's and see how you like them.since we were talking about body types and fits...

I've tried on the 514s; the leg opening is too wide. they look flared to me.
I'm not sagging. but these pants are the dockers alpha which are pretty low rise. plus the grey shirt is an undershirt that is a couple of too inches too short for me.

Definitely not Dan's girlfriend, but I think that is also a great post about why you shouldn't let your girl dress you. The second look with the denim jacket and blazer is not flattering at all, in my opinion.
