Dressing Better Vol 2.0

You don’t find them comfy?

I’ve walked in my regular black leather SLP chelsea boots for roughly half a marathon without even the slightest bit of discomfort.

I know it makes no sense on paper, and apparently others like you have a different experience, so I’m guessing my feet are just weirdly shaped and SLP happens to have a perfect match.

I assume it’s not a coincidence that I had to size up from 41.5 to size 43, despite all the advice recommending true to size.
My Gucci Aces are a size 41.5 and yet I couldn’t even get my feet in the 41.5 SLP boots at all due to the upper bridge area of my feet.
Size 42.5 was the first size that actually allowed me to (barely) fit my feet in at all, but it was far too tight and hurt around that upper bridge area of my feet.
At long last with size 43, they fit like a glove and they immediately felt like I’d been walking in them for years.
Walking a half marathon in those are insane . They’re def a special occasion shoe for me and I’m typically hoping that I’m not doing a ton of walking when I do.

I have to agree. My SLP and the Story Et Fall boots are comfortable.

The sneakers - not so much - but more comfortable than my CP’s.
Story et falls used to have my feet screaming at the end of the day

The only ones I treat as a special occasion are my (brown) suede Wyatts, because suede requires extra care that I don’t always wanna bother with.

I checked my phone pictures to look for my go-to pair that I used in the charity march.
The earliest pic I could find is dated March 2020 but I there’s signs of wear so I’ve either taken this pic after trying them on, or I bought them prior to that date. The pic was probably for this thread

I’ve been wearing these damn near every day since then.

Below is a more recent purchase from 2022. This beige pair is from their Vasilli line, with a 6.5cm heel. A bit more ‘out there’ for sure. Not sure what the purpose of this pic was but I can tell from the environment that I took the picture at my desk at the office where I work. Still very comfy despite the high heel but I do get discomfort in my hamstrings if I’ve been walking too much. Zero discomfort for my actual feet though.

I don’t really post any pictures at all on my social media, much less photos of myself unless necessary (LinkedIn, Facebook, …), so it took quite a bit of scrolling to find these.
I think the beige pair is still available, though I doubt anyone here would wear this

There’s no dresscode at the office so I just wear whatever I want, including those gold glitter sneakers.
All due respect to everyone on the Development team, but it’s all so bland.
And a lot of cargo shorts.
I’m on the Dev team too but my actual function is Software Test Engineer.

Always liked Tommy Hilfiger polo’s. A couple years ago, they decided to make their adult polo’s fit like children’s clothes. A comparison (the grey is the current sizing). Tracked a couple of the sizing that I liked down new with tags on the bay. Red one came in today.

I guess I could use a little more variety in what I wear.

Where can i find good quality decent priced plain tees? I really like the dsg tees but they never have them in stock. Nike tees are $40 plus for plain tee which i think is ridiculous.

What underwear you guys wear?

I'm tryna justify buying these Tommy Johns I'm seeing everywhere and if the hype is as good as these reviews.
