Dressing Better Vol 2.0

Sounds like that Seinfeld episode where they wouldn't let him return the jacket after he told them the only reason he was returning was out of spite towards the salesman. When they denied him the return he then changed his reason but they told him sorry you already said spite lmao.

What are you worrying yourself over ? The deed is done.
I have about 3 other jackets that have also been marked down.

Should've just told him you're saving him the effort of putting it back on a hanger and on a rack. Otherwise I would've asked him if he could put it back out on the floor just for me to grab it immediately and bring it back to him to ring up. Stores have policies they have to follow but practicality and logic should win over it sometimes.

So I wanted to get everyone's thoughts on this:

1) I bought a GAP jacket for $80 a month ago. GAP's return/exchange policy is 45 days. I found out today that they have a 2-week price adjustment policy.
2) The jacket got marked down to $30.
3) I returned the jacket today for $80 and asked to re-buy it for the lower $30 price.
4) The cashier told me that he couldn't do that (2-week price adjustment policy).
5) I asked him if this jacket was gonna be put back on the floor at the $30 price. He confirmed, but stayed firm on not letting me re-buy it for $30.
6) I made up a BS excuse to get the jacket back ("try it on again in the fitting room"). The cashier hesitated and asked his manager if this was okay and the manager approved.
7) I got the jacket back, went to another cashier, and bought it for $30.

Am I wrong in not agreeing with their logic? Sure, they'll "technically" lose money if I return for $80 and buy again for $30, but that's not really up to me, right?

I also didn't like having to make up a BS excuse, but as long as I got the jacket back in my hands, I saved myself $50.

I laughed at this. It really depends on the employee. Some people are cool and see the logical side and let it slide; others not so much. That's retail for you.

I'd just repeat the same process if it happens again dude, don't put too much stock into nonsense.

Copped a dark brown chelsea. I hope i like em. They look a lot nicer than the urban outfitters ones.

Just ordered the sand suede Chelsea's. I wanted to order the black and brown but unsure of how these will fit. I went tts but that really isn't saying a lot these days.

I'd prefer they run smaller than big. If they fit to my liking I'll go for the other two.

Someone posted in here that they went a half size down. So I went by that.

Good find on that discount code for the Chelseas. I've had my sand pair for about two weeks now and just ordered the grey ones. Well worth the $99 but for $25 off they're a steal.

As mentioned before, I went down .5 from my usual Nike size and they fit great.
