Dressing Better Vol 2.0

Pinoy, those are dope man! you could even throw in the colored laces with it to bring in a little more color too....those would be great for even just some chinos and even jeans too if you wanted to...plus that price :smokin
I need to go to the tailor near me and get some shirts taken in on the sides, I hate that balloning some of them have. I know it'll run ~10-15 per shirt but I was wondering what an acceptable "tightness" would be? I know some of the ones in GQ are impractical but what's a reasonable amount to get a slim fit for dress shirt taken in to? Any pics would be great
The buttons should still be stress free when you're sitting down. If they're being pulled then that's too tight. If you don't get dart, the tailor will just have you stand straight with the arms up and will put pins on the excess fabric that will be taken out. You should use this time to slim the sleeves down too if that's needed since the sides will be opened anyway.

if you guys are looking for some fashionable loafers or even wingtips or oxfords, check out Zara, their stuff might not be top notch AE type of quality but they sure look good.:D

KSteezy, can you provide a link to your fashion blog?

Hey guys. How do you tie your Knit ties? I can't seem to get a good knot.

Today.

@Reigning_champ_ on Instagram folks.

4 in hand is the best and easiest knot for knit ties.

or a double four in hand for something more substantial. just loop the tie twice.

anyone else thinks a lot of ties sold in places like retail department stores are too short? the small part of the tie always ends up too short for me..like halfway down the big part of the tie.

Anybody knows the quality of the Aldo 'Mr.B's' shoes line? They said that all their brogues shoes are hand made...

"All told, our shoemaking process involves over 50 individual pieces, nearly all of them made by hand in Europe’s finest factories by craftspeople trained in Italy’s Brenta region. Handmaking shoes gives them character – subtle patterns in the stitching, or colouring in the upper, reflect the fact that a human has made them. The beauty is in the imperfection"

I ordered these:

It depends on the knot you tie, but sometimes yes.

have the tailor pin the sides/arms (they usally do 1 side) and lift up your arms to make sure you have enough free range of arm movement

Aldo is a mall brand, I wouldnt trust thier quality. They are not made to last like a pair of shoes from Allen Edmonds etc. They are made good enough to last you 1 to 2 seasons or for the current trend to end.

i think for now, i'll keep em a bit more casual

Does anyone wear raw denim anymore? Haven't seen any posts on it.

How much is that second brown pair? Where did you buy them? Aldo?

dunno if anyone checked out GILT today, but they had a sale on Eton shirts, great great great shirts from a swedish brand, probably my favorite shirtmaker right now.

Thanks for the tips wj4 and thinkinfresh, its weird b/c the sleeves on a couple are slim but the sides, not so much

Please give me your opinions on this fit... not trying to do anything crazy just something clean...Please give in your advice etc...Not a fan of tucking my shirt in so yeah...
Shirt: It would be something along this... still looking for a color... and I was going to wear a white v-neck under and leave the buttons out... shirt not tucked in...

Jeans/Pants: Please let me know what type of jeans would look clean heres a few I had in mind not sure yet
1. Khaki- http://us.levi.com/product/index.jsp?productId=12326271&kwCatId=&kw=508&origkw=508&sr=1
2.I want something like skinny jeans when it comes to the way it lands on the shoe... doesn't overlap on them like crazy... but something that gives me room an doesn't feel tight help would be appreciated. Perfect example of what I would like when it comes to the way its on the shoe http://us.levi.com/product/index.jsp?productId=12302215&view=all&
Shoes: I Have no idea what to look for. Want something 80-110$ range. Some of these examples I like let me know.

I am buying what I like but some advice from some NT'ers who dress well would not hurt... Appreciate it guys I will rep ya!

if you don't have them already, a white and light blue shirt are the most versatile colors you can own so i'd think about checking that route out first.
for pants, levi 511s are not bad at all. just a question on how tapered you would want them. skinny's aren't for everyone
finally the shoes, do not get any.
those express boat shoes are straight trash quality. aldo is the same. they may look decent but i guarantee they will not hold up well
honestly, for $80-110, you can easily cop a retail pair of sperry's or sebago's from places like Macy's or Nordstrom's. Look around, i bet you'll find coupon codes to Macy's too. The 2 pairs of sperry's I own came out to about $50 a piece from Macy's

wj4 good looks on the blog shoutout. for those who wanted lapel pind i will be working on them this upcoming weekend

These Khakis are a excellent choice, I think they fit great just make sure u buy your proper waist (able to wear without belt)

As far as shirts go I would skip that H&M and spend a few more dollars on a higher quality shirt. Uniqlo oxfords are $30 a piece and are awesome off the rack, even better with some slight tailoring. like homie stated before me start with white then a baby blue, after get some mor adventurous colors like Pink & Lavender.

& the shoes you can never go wrong with a classic pair of boat shoes
