I sometimes wear ties casually but ties with a crewneck like that one bug me. They can look ok sometimes but the feel of it is just odd.

Elbow patches are clean on sweaters. Racked up on the jcrew ones last season. I used to teach though so maybe I'm a little more in touch with my inner professor
