Keep working at bro. I advise ppl going through a body change to not buy clothing to they are set in their routines/diet. You'll be good. I'd advise you to buy basic needs stuff and focus your main clothing on the spring/summer.From lurking this thread for a few weeks, ive got to say mj4, ksteezy and pinoy have a great closet lineup. When i become my ideal weight i shall be posting some fits in here. My lineup is NOWHERE close to where i want it to be. Ive already lost about 35 lbs of fat, gained about 15 lbs of muscle. Proud of myself but not ready yet. Ive got some shirts/desert boots/slim fit jeans. But like i said, i wish i could have more. Plus i dont want to be wasting money on buying clothes ill only wear temporarily.
Keep posting good fits in here.. im still learning
A lot of the gents from MC with large salaries prefer cashmere socks, but I have yet feel comfortable spending that much money on socks. The most I've spent were Corgi socks via J. Crew. Try J. Crew and BR socks, especially when they're on sale. None of my socks have ever ripped on me yet, and I wear them routinely.whattup NT... I need some help on a couple of things
What are the best quality dress socks? I definitely like socks with color and all but all of the ones I buy end up ripping extremely fast...
and what is the most durable suit brand you can buy under $400. I wear suits to work every single day so durability is a MUST
thanks
I'm assuming I'm mj4. Clothes are secondary skin, my man. Work on your physique first...that's the most important part. When I was in the transitional stage, I was bumming it in cheap Levi's 514 jeans, plain white t shirts, and hoodies. I didn't spend real money on my wardrobe until I was set. From lurking this thread for a few weeks, ive got to say mj4, ksteezy and pinoy have a great closet lineup. RE: suits, is it possible to bump that budget to $480-500? If so, I would go with Thick as Theives, fully canvassed suit. www.thickasthievesla.com
I love thick wool socks for the winter, this is why I sized some of my boots .5 bigger. I prefer lighter socks in hotter weather though. The MCers just like cashmere because they live that luxury life style, the I flew to Italy to buy a tie made by a local artisan styleWool socks> All other materials
You want something that will keep your feet dry. Wool does it for you.
Just have a game plan on what your ultimate goal is and go for it, man. A lot of folks prefer to cut then bulk though (I really have no experience myself). I never wanted to become ripped or cut, just lean so I dropped from 220 down to 140, then back to 155 now. Keep in mind also that muscle weighs more than fat so don't be deterred if your weight doesn't drop as much. I also look at body fat % to get the big picture.Thats the truth for sure. I was at 230 around March.. 218 around June. Now 190. building muscle while losing the belly fat. Its one of the hardest things to do |I
Were you a fat 220 or just semi chubby? I know a lot of people 220 but not really fat. Thats a huge drop from 220 to 155. Congrats on the weight loss man.Just have a game plan on what your ultimate goal is and go for it, man. A lot of folks prefer to cut then bulk though (I really have no experience myself). dude stop riding pinoy. he is a college student who can defend himself. I go to berkley and you dont see me rocking a suit to my differential linear equations class.Nobody wants that man...it's an open forum...some just get carried away and add 0 advice, want to critique and on top of that rarely contribute....is like dudes are just hiding out in the bushes waiting for the moment to strike, then they get called out and all of a sudden the "regulars" are snobs...you gotta be kidding me...lol
Dude can be dressing up for a job for all you know. I go to school in NYC and students in suits is not an unusual sight in my school. Some people have internships/jobs at places like GS, JP Morgan, Citi, Pwc, KPMG, etc and needs to wear them for work. Also, one of the business fraternities at my school requires that all the people pledging have to wear a suit on certain days of the week.dude stop riding pinoy. he is a college student who can defend himself. Received my TOJ today and I have to say I am very displeased with the fit. Its about two sizes too big than I would like it to be. I got a stock 54 after Charly's recommendation.
I was initially was going to go with a 50 and thats what I should have stuck with. Charly convinced me other wise.
The jacket itself is nice for the price point. Will post pics later.

check out 'happy socks'.. i'm a big fanWhat are the best quality dress socks? I definitely like socks with color and all but all of the ones I buy end up ripping extremely fast...
If for what ever reason a suit is required then it is ok to wear one. Now there is a major difference between wearing a "normal" suit or blatantly tryng to look like a hipster. Pinoy falls in the latter category. Clearly everyone who says his style is unique has never picked up an atrocious fashion magazine where the people looked like walking gimmicks. Clearly his oufit or the way he constructed it looks like it came from a hipster magazine.Dude can be dressing up for a job for all you know. My first TOJ was a varsity, i just took measurements of one I already had and compared them to the charts and picked a size. I know TOJ has a lot of people sending them measurements but i personally never did that and all the TOJs i had turned out fine
