Everything comes down to preference at the end of the day and what the fight requires. I still like the IB over the GGhorn on the Templar because it helps me get out of the detainment quicker and I have a Hunger to substitute.

Regardless what anyone says, every gun is situational depending on the fight. Yes GGhorn is DPS king by a wide margin, but it isn't the best exotic gun for every situation.

Anybody got a maxed out Hunger of Crota? ....very interested in those cluster bombs and the tracking ...I know nuthin tracks better than the Truth and also know those cluster bombs aint **** compared to wolfpack rounds ....anybody got first hand experience with it?

illsupra / Frostbite only wants to use the VoC and GGhorn in any situation though, so his response will be slighted that way

Still got 2 weeklies to do tonight and then I might hit the Iron Banner. Is old 300 guns still doing ok in there? Cause I dont have a primary thats past 300 except for Suros and I dont like using that gun in Crucible cause of the focus fire perk :/

Also I need to do the raids too but idk if anyone is willing to carry me a bit thru em. I suck at raids

The only other 300 weapon I would want to make 331 would be the Fatebringer. Fatebringer and VoC are still my 2 favorite primaries to run with.

Agreed. I like Fatebringer as well, and loved Atheon's Epilogue before the DLC, but VoC is still so good, even at reduced damage.

The tracking is on-par with the tracking on the GGhorn, they are the exact same to me.

Now in terms of the clusters, when comparing it to the Hezen, the clusters seem to be more compact (and I have mine speced for max blast radius and velocity). Meaning more of the clusters hit their target. I've gotten as much as 5 clusters hitting for about 74-83 per cluster(wolfpacks do about 250-280 per wolfpack and there are somewhere between 8-14).

As a whole, it's definitely the closest thing to a GGhorn IMO. The only downside is that with boots that give you extra heavy, you can only hold 6 rockets max, 7 for a GGhorn, 8 for a Truth. It's still my rocketlauncher of choice for the fights that I like to use an IB for.

the thing is, bungie knows this. they put out that report a few days ago saying the VoC is the goto primary weapon in the game. But for some reason they wont bump it up? Just bungie being bungie again.

Correct if I am wrong but with MMO's.. theres no demand to "update" old content like that.. its all about the present/expandable content.. But I would definitely vote for an upgraded VoC, P.Revenge, Corrective Measure and Fate Bringer.. with that being said I think they should upgrade old weapons to be a tier below every other DLC. For Example, when the next expansion drops, it would be cool to see VoG guns become 331, then of course the newer raid guns/exotics will be whatever the new max it, etc..

Well this is part of the MMO aspect to the game. Old content and gear becomes irrelevant and new one supplements it. If this didn't happen there wouldn't be an incentive to do HM Crota when it goes live (hopefully this week). I'm just happy that Exotics are being kept relevant by having the option to upgrade.
