Anyone with a pair of 3sixteen st-100x care to chime in on what the leg opening is like once they're tapered to a realistic inseam, such as 32-33? tia

I know what you mean but at nordstrom they are $17* with tax... Nudies website offers free shipping and comes out to $132 so that's a saving
Doesn't nordstrom offer price matching?  Won't hurt to ask.

In other news just got my strike gold 5109s.  Drying them after their first soak and hoping they fit a lot tighter than initially.

For raw denim unbranded is good entry level since they fade fast. I'd just recommend them over naked and famous unless you want unique fabrics. There's also Gustin but they do crowd funding so it takes 2 months to actually get your jeans. At the $200+ price point you can go with rogue territory or rail car or 3sixteen (3sixteen+ are collabs with self edge). If you are new to raw denim stick to sanforized fabrics. If not, then pbj samurai and strike golds are good brands to look into if you got the cash

thanks for the tips! probably go with unbranded first and see how that goes!

You usually get hit with customs for anything valued at $200+, so $132 you should be good.

So a 6.5" leg opening is what i should get if i get my denim tailored?

it really depends on the size and style of the jeans you're having altered. your tailor should be able to help you decide on a good taper. for example, I had my sz 32 n&f weird guys tapered to a 7.25" opening. My apc pns have a 6.75 opening and it's a little too small for my liking.

Got some Lo Denim & Supply tapered denim for about $50 shipped and the fit is on point.

That's pretty small, making them close to joggers.  I think the average for slim-skinny fits is like 7.5"-7", with 7" being pretty tapered as it is.

6.5" is not that small, lol. Then again- it's subjective. Depends on the size of the person too.

Yeah I was exaggerating a little haha.  6.5" is still really tapered imo, but it'll work with corresponding body types.

Bonus, picked up the chucks for $20 Couldnt pass them up.

They were $20 because they didn't come with laces!!!! hahaha

Yup just scooped the light wash, hopefully it fits well. Want the black pair as well, sale ends TONITE at midnite so will be debating it all afternoon, lol. I also picked up some selvedge khaki pants (they have a black twill as well) for like $21...
