^ they gotta kinda show damian being a d*ckhead though.. all cocky.. also allows them to show the league of shadows and the training and all that, without seeming like they're just rehashing batman begins
and then you connect deathstroke to them too.. and you show bat's relationship with ras and how they have a begrudging respect for one another.. lazarus pits and all that jazz
Yeah. Nightwing should be a less paranoid/ more stable version of Bruce. He shouldn't be getting punked by anybody. In theory it should leave the viewer thinking, "hey this guy is basically a younger version of Batman"
^ I want him to be the voice of reason of the group..
bruce and Damian don't get along because they basically got the same personality and both believe they cant handle everything on their own.. then you got them clashing because of damian growing up with the league and obviously batman not completely being down with everything that comes with them
and maybe you don't do redhood, cause he would essentially be just like bats in this universe.. disillusioned
but with nightwing, you have him living through that situation with bruce and then moving on his own.. and he isn't completely disillusioned and takes sort of mentorship role with damian since he was in that position (and doesn't want him to go full fledged bats).. also has to be a means of communication between the two since they butt heads
I'd rather Damian not show up in the DCEU at all to be honest, especially if it's going to be based off of Son of Batman Really i'd have been fine if Jason hadn't been mentioned, but when you need a dead Robin Jason Todd's the guy to go to. Dying is the only thing he's ever really done that mattered after all.
yea, if there is a dead robin or a robin something happened to, I want it to be Jason todd
I want grayson as nightwing.. and damian always this universe to cover an actual robin along with having the other guys too and the league of shadows, which is why I want him
I don't want carrie Kelley.. unless they don't include nightwing and damian.. so bats is burned by whatever goes down with todd and just doesn't want a sidekick anymore, until carrie
might get congested with batgirl off the bat, but do want Barbara Gordon to be a young adult with the possibility of that to come

Damien Wayne is just a crappy character and was just another example of omit reaching. If your gonna have robin you'd probably make him Tim Drake, but I don't think there would be room in a movie to have focus on Drake and ****

Damian is cool in the comics. The animated movies be having him on some other ****
Wouldn't mind him in the DCeU. They'd just have to age him up a bit. Don't see a child actor killing that role. Get a Tom Holland younger than he looks type of actor. Battfleck is already older.
Damian was annoying in the comics too. They've been making him better, but they're squeezing out my boy Tim Drake. Rebirth Teen Titans is apparently going to be led by Damian and have New 52 Wally. Tim is running with the Bat family in 'Tec right now.
The Bat family is already OD in the comics, I think they need to go easy in the DCEU. Nightwing, Batgirl (Barbara), and Tim Drake (Robin) is all they need. I think the best way to handle Nightwing is to establish his history and heavily imply he's on his own. Nightwing isn't a sidekick. If they plan to use him, there needs to be some separation. You can introduce him in a Batman solo, but he can't spend the entire film helping Batman.

Nightwing is definitely not the polar opposite of Batman Maybe back when he was Robin in his younger days, but that time has long since passed. He's not exactly the same as him either and shouldn't simply be called a younger Bruce Wayne, but the two share a number of similarities regardless. Nightwing, as far as personality goes, is what Bruce Wayne probably hopes he could have turned out to be, being far more mentally and emotionally stable and easily capable of forming connections with other people. Hence you have Bruce typically praising him and talking about how proud he is that **** didn't turn out exactly like him. Multiple heroes constantly talk about how the two are alike as well though.
Even in terms of skills calling him a younger version of Batman wouldn't really make sense.

Check out Detective Comics Rebirth, where Tim's currently appearing. Sucks that he's not on the Titans anymore, but honestly nothing good came out of that series from the New 52 anyways. Detective Comics has him being written properly again at least.
Well Jason Todd's already in the DCEU now, so it's too late to remove him. Only question is whether he'll be resurrected or not.

The shows is where night wing became such fan favorite for most people. I haven't seen all the DC movies to tell if he been giving the shaft, but he came off like a sucka in Bad Blood.

And see, Bad Blood is where he's been treated the best so far Since Tim Drake doesn't exist here they've basically given Nightwing the role that Tim has with Damian in the comics: a constant target of mocking and ridicule.
A chance to talk about the Robins? When the Bat Family is one of my favorite superhero groups? Well I can't pass this chance up for a rant
Nightwing (Richard Grayson) is the oldest, the first born son in the family and the closest to Batman in terms of teamwork, basically functioning as Batman's right hand man/equal. If Batman's not around bet that Nightwing's the one that the others will follow. This is probably best exemplified by the fact that he is the only Robin that has actually stepped up and become Batman when Bruce Wayne wasn't capable of continuing to operate in the role for a time, not only once, but twice. And he has assured Bruce that if he (Bruce) ever dies that he is willing to become Batman again. Red Hood (Jason Todd) is the black sheep in some respects, though not nearly as much as he once was, and even when he's working with the rest of the Bat Family his use of firearms and, on occasion, deadly force sets him apart. Red Robin (Tim Drake) is the smart guy, being the closest to Batman in terms of intelligence and detective skill. He's also separated by the fact that, unlike the others, his parents are still alive and being in the Bat Family is less of a necessity for him. Since the New 52 however he's been written as being fairly chummy with Red Hood, whereas prior to the New 52, Nightwing is the one he was closest to. Red Robin is also the one who focuses on fighting the least, though he's still excellent at hand to hand combat of course. Robin (Damian Wayne) is the typical little brother. Smartmouthed, arrogant, and rude, with a minor inferiority complex at points due to the fact that he's Batman's only "real" son, but has to contend with the fact that his father had numerous other "sons" and partners before him. He's grown a good deal since his introduction however.
The general relationships between all of these guys has changed over the years and at this point they've reached a balance i'd say, where for the most part they see one another as brothers. Nightwing specifically used the term to refer to them all in such a way in a recent event. He might be closest to Robin overall, since during the time that Nightwing became Batman Damian was his partner, his Robin. Damian in fact worked with him before he ever worked with Bruce. Before the New 52 I would have said Nightwing was closest to Red Robin, but since then none of the writers have really focused on their relationship all that much, with Red Robin even mentioning that Red Hood is the closest thing he has to a brother. Then, in the same way that Damian was somewhat insecure towards his older "brothers" at first, Red Hood was somewhat insecure towards Nightwing for a while, seeing him as his competition for Batman's love basically. Same applied to Red Robin, as the guy that succeeded him (And in the eyes of many did a better job than him). Again, most of this has passed however, with maybe only Red Robin and Robin still having a volatile relationship. Even then, they're much more likely to snark at each other these days than they are to actually come to blows.
In terms of which Robin is the "best" there's not really a consensus. Typically, each is portrayed as being more skilled than the others in different areas. Nightwing is the best leader, Jason the most physical, Red Robin the most intelligent, and Damian the most highly trained in terms of his age. Each has then had various combat encounters with the others over the years and generally people rank each in terms of age: Nightwing>Red Hood>Red Robin>Robin. However, Red Hood has actually taken a nice leap in skill in the opinions of many since the New 52 and some of his fans now argue that he is above Nightwing. The two actually haven't fought since the reboot, so it's impossible to say for sure (Whereas before the reboot they fought a few times, with Nightwing coming out on top). Then, in terms of which was the best Robin or partner for Batman, there's also not really a major consensus for that. Typically, its between Nightwing and Red Robin, though Batman himself has praised all of his partners for various attributes over the years. I'll say that Jason's probably at the bottom, primarily due to his short time as Robin, due to Joker blowing him to hell. I'd take Damian out of the running as well, because he and his father have clashed fairly often when working together. Nightwing and Red Robin respectively have then had long stretches of time where they worked with Bruce like a well-oiled machine. You could argue for Nightwing being the best partner, since he's the one that led to the whole "Dynamic Duo" moniker being coined and the idea of them as the perfect team, but you could put similar arguments for Red Robin being the best partner. Though Damian has the best training overall, Tim was probably Batman's most competent partner in terms of personality and ability, lacking Damian's immaturity and other personality flaws, allowing him to mesh with Batman better.
Who is or isn't the best Robin though is entirely subjective. Just my opinion, i'd say it was either Nightwing or Red Robin overall, and if we're going to count what they did after their time as Robin i'd say Nightwing took what Batman taught him and did the most with it. At the end of the day, Jason Todd spent the least amount of time actually working with Batman and ended his time as Batman's biggest failure. Damian then has proven himself to be heavily skilled in a number of areas, but honestly worked better with Nightwing than he does with Batman.
EDIT: Just one example of Bruce's thoughts on all four Robins
It varies over the years in terms of wording, but that's the typical type praise he gives Nightwing and Red Robin. I'd say that if Jason Todd's death was Batman's greatest failure he sees Nightwing as his greatest triumph, while being impressed with Red Robin to the point of sometimes stating the kid will surpass him one day in terms of detective skill.
In a pairing that resembles a superhero team-up, I have learned that Greg Berlanti, king of the CW’s DC universe, has partnered with The Game and Being Mary Jane creator Mara Brock Akil and her husband Salim Akil for Black Lightning, a drama series based on the DC character created by Tony Isabella with Trevor Von Eeden. I hear the project, from Warner Bros. TV and studio-based Berlanti Productions and Akil Productions, is currently being pitched to networks.
Written by the Akils, Black Lightning centers on Jefferson Pierce. He made his choice: he hung up the suit and his secret identity years ago, but with a daughter hell-bent on justice and a star student being recruited by a local gang, he’ll be pulled back into the fight as the wanted vigilante and DC legend — Black Lightning.
Salim Akil and Mara Brock Akil executive produce with Berlanti Prods.’ Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter.
While it’s being taken out now, a Black Lightning series had been in the works at WBTV for well over a year, going through different incarnations as the studio has taken its time to get the take right.
