There's no in between with this movie

Nah I see a lot of middle ground.

Maybe half a dozen ppl have said they loved it. The ppl who like it or were entertained are really aware of the faults, really aware. Then there's the ppl who really didn't like it/hated it which seems to be growing but roughly the same complaints in that group too.

If there was a better poll with a 3rd option I think that would be clearer.

Agreed. I enjoyed it for the most part. The flaws were glaring, though. I don't get how they thought this was a good version of the movie. The fact that they apparently were testing two different versions of the movie blows me away. I can't begin to understand Warner Brothers for how they rushed and altered this movie.

There really weren't any memorable moments. All that slow motion action had me rolling my eyes.

Ayer deserves some blame too, but the studio really needs to take their hands out of the pot.

[h2]Suicide Squad  had an impressive weekend despite falling a little short of initial projections. While the film was slammed by negative reviews, Warner Bros. seems to be very proud of the results...[/h2]

Currently sitting at a 25% on Rotten Tomatoes, Suicide Squad  continued the unfortunate DCEU trend of having mixed to negative reviews upon release. That being said, the film performed exceptionally wellthis weekend, taking in $267 million  worldwide, along with setting a new record for the highest Thursday night box office in August, beating Guardians Of The Galaxy  in the process. 

While the divide between the DCEU and critics remains strong, it seems that Warner Bros. is quite pleased with how the film fared this weekend.  “It bested anything that we could have expected,”  said Jeff Goldstein, Warner Bros. distribution executive Vice President. “The marketing campaign was brilliant and the performances by the cast, starting with Will Smith, Margot Robbie, and Jared Leto, were just extraordinary. They’re fun and wicked and fans enjoy it.”

In response to the negative reviews, Goldstein stated that,  “There’s a major disconnect with between what the critics are saying and what audiences are seeing.” Time will tell if Wonder Woman  andJustice League  will have any sort of luck with critics. It also remains to be seen if Suicide Squad  will continue its trajectory next weekend, or will suffer the same kind of drop that affected Batman v Superman.

Trailers for Dunkirk ( the chris nolan war movie ), a PG-13 trailer for Sausage Party, a butchered trailer for Wonder Woman, that chris pine bank robbery movie, and I think that was all of em.

I just want Deathstroke to show up in any of the movies. Have him be awesome like the tv version without the stupid cw simp motivation.

Maybe he can be in the sequel as the main villain

So what did you guys think of Letos Joker?

I'm thinking or just switching the polls to see how Letos Joker was because I think it's pretty evident by now how the movie was received at this point.

For me, Leto's Joker started out rough, with the Common strip club scene. I was a little disturbed. But I really liked his take on it. Heath's Joker fits for Nolan's world and was no doubt great, but he didn't seem crazy or anything. Leto's joker seems psychotic, which I like.

Yah I am mainly asking because someone from another forum brought up that maybe his scenes were cut because he wasn't too great in it and some were disappointed. I don't think it's a rumor, just his opinion and it did get me curious.

I thought Letos version was great and I'd argue that he was a bit more psychotic and maniacal in this version so the execs may have cut it because it teeters close to it being rated R and as we all know China is already denying approval to be shown over there mainly due to violence.

Another reason is the time for cutting Jokers part, I think they were trying to avoid making another long movie in fear that it'll be another BvS length.

Leto did say that they shot enough scenes to make a solo Joker film, probably an exaggeration but there could probably be a cut of the film with an hour worth of footage for the Joker though.

And then it ends with him being forced to be a part of the team and thrown in a cell in the same unit as the rest of the squad

At least that's how I would do it.

My overall thought on Leto's Joker was mainly that I want to see more of him, especially dialogue/interaction with Batfleck and as a main antagonist. His interpretation was more psychotic, as already mentioned, and I was into it. The scene where he made Griggs kiss his ring and said, "I can tell you meant that." while sitting on his lap and that crazy smile was dope to me. Also, the scene with Harley when he makes her jump into the ACE Chemicals vat displayed his manipulation of her and then at the same time, his own crazed infatuation as he jumped in after her. It was a different take on their relationship and it worked here for me. When he was cast, I was hoping that he wouldn't try to replicate Ledger and I'm glad that he didn't.

In regards to his design, I was never a fan of the tattoos, but on screen, it didn't bother me at all. While I'd prefer a definitive look for Joker, his many outfits worked for the scenes he was in.

I think Leto can make this Joker his, but he just needs the right movie to play in.

I thought Leto did a good job, it wasn't over the top and the his voice was good. I like what they are setting up here, and I look forward to them expanding with the character.

I really liked Leto's interpretation of Mist J. The gangster joker was always me fav. Even going back to the days of BTAS. I agree with most that they wanted to see more of him. My GF was slightly disappointed that we didn't see enough of him, but overall she liked his portrayal. I think Leto has the capacity to explore more layers and depths to the joker. Cause at one point in time in the movie the joker looked straight up depressed because he didn't have Harley in his life.

I personally enjoyed the Deadshot & Batman scene and also how that scene results in Deadshot stating that he needs to get back to Gotham to handle some business. The Batman scenes weren't much, but it was an attempt at world building in my opinion; letting us know that these characters exist and have had interactions with each other in the past.

Honestly thought he nailed it and really made the role his own. Different from Romero, Nicholson, and Ledger, but still recognizeable as The Joker in all his twisted glory. I actually thought the scene with him and Harley at the club was pretty dope. You had him sitting in this kind of kingdom he'd crafted for himself, where he was in complete control and you had other criminals in Gotham basically coming to pay tribute to him. It's not something that Ledger's Joker would have done, but I thought it fit the tone perfectly in this film. I see a lot of people complaining about his relationship with Harley, but I think it adds a bit more depth to the character as well and breaks the typical mold of Joker only using her as a pawn. The big thing I was against going in were the tattoos in all honesty, but once I saw them in the film I got over it pretty quickly.
