San Antonio isn't a hole in the wall city.

I ain't seen 8 dollar tickets since high school :lol

:lol real talk

A trip to the movies with my girl is a 45 dollar venture.

If I go to IMAX im damn near dropping 75 bucks for two of us.

And yes I know the concessions are overpriced.

IDGAF though, I need some fresh popcorn, nachos, and large icee with my movie.

If I can catch the movie on IMAX, that's the way to go regardless of 20 dollar tickets. Cant beat reserved stadium seating with a huge screen and great sound.

I know how it is with wives/girlfriends though. Whenever we hit up Drafthouse, we'll spend $40 easy.

:eek at 8 dollar tickets.
35$ movie pass unlimited FTW in NY.
Became a regular at the Alamo Drafthouse with fam. :smokin

If SS is as good as Star trek beyond (which was ok for me) then it's a win for a DC and a step up.

I really didn't know the prices of movies outside of San Antonio. Around my way, the cheapest is $6 for a matinee and the most expensive is $11.

Same here with my wife, we may even get shakes sometimes(but no popcorn or soda if we do that)

Sister in law is a savage if the theatre has hot food(jalepeno poppers, mozarella sticks, burgers) she's getting that and she always shares but that stuff takes so long to make and she's usually walking into the movie 5 mins in, I remember we took her to see GOTG(our 2nd viewing her 1st) and she misses like the first 10 minutes :lol

Talkin bout "You guys want some??" all loud and ish

I'm the same way, but I prefer catching movies at AMC Prime rather than IMAX. Reserved Seats + Recliner chairs are about $17.50 (x2 since I go with the wife).

Plus Popcorn and a Soda...Easily hittin me for $50ish to go to the movies.

Reserved seating is awesome. I remember having to line up early for popular movies back in the day. If you showed up late, you'd be stuck sitting in the front row :x

This is kind of why I like the Drafthouse; you can just order from your seats and have the food brought to you.

From Reddit. This movie would've been a strong 9 for me with these scenes added. Leto saying a lot of Joker scenes were cut is a big understatement.

"In early cuts, the movie's opening detailed June Moon's posession by Enchantress in real tome. Reshoots reshuffled the scene to be later in the movie in flashback form in favour of a new opening centered on Deadshot."

"Deadshot in the prison cell, watching the rain fall and thinking about his daughter."

"El Diablo observing the flame of a lit match, before putting it out due to his vow to no longer use his powers."

"El Diablo being escorted to a training center by being placed in a tube that fills with water to quel his flames, and then unceremoniously dropped onto the ground."

"Early interviews showed Captain Boomerang's racism and sexism, but the movie is light on examples of such behaviour, which have apparently been deleted. Most of them were reportedly directed at Katana, to whom Boomerang is attracted to."

"Early reports indicated more backstory for Killer Croc, revealing that he entire life as a social outcast due to his physical appearancr and has convinced himself that he is beautiful in his own way. Croc crossed paths with Batman while working as muscle-for-hire for numerous Gotham's crime bosses, while secretly planning to take over one day. There were also scenes displaying his affinity for making sculptures out of discarded materials. Aside from jokes about Croc viewing himself as 'beautiful,' one of these were retained in the final cut."

"Also deleted was a scene where he becomes sick at the helicopter escort to Midway City, throws up half-digested pieces of goat, and then eats them again, disgusting the nearby Navy Seals."

"Early cuts reportedly included a passing reference to Slipknot being serial rapist, likely to further paint him as unsympathetic to the audience ahead of his own death."

"More scenes of Rick Flag and June Moon's romantic relationship, including him reading the files of the Suicide Squad recruits after Waller delivers them to him."

"Another scene where Flag and Moon are out on a date."

"Extended scene of Joker interrogating Captain Griggs, including the line, "I can't wait to show you my toys," which was in every trailer, but was removed from the movie."

"Joker and his men escaping after shooting up a restaurant. Harley, who is already affiliated with the Joker, follows them on a motorcycle and intercepts their car. Joker bangs his head against the glass in frustration."

"Joker and Harley then get into a fight, which ends with Harley pointing a gun at Joker's head. Joker sweet-talks Harley into lowering the gun, charming her, then backhands her across the face. Afterwards he sweet-talks her again and they kiss."

"Extended Ace Chemicals scene where Harley jumps into the chemicals. More bits of dialogue from Joker."

"Extended Batmobile chase scene with more interaction between Joker and Harley. One of the examples, presented in all the trailers, is the Joker punching the roof of his car."

"Harley using her baseball bat as a mock gun to play shoot at invisible foes."

"Extended scene of Joker breaking into the nanobomb manufacture facility to arrange for Harley's neck-bomb to be disabled."

"More interactions between Harley and Boomerang. Early cuts apparently included her really disliking him despite growing affectionate to all the other members of the squad."

"Extended bar scene with Harley taking everyone's orders. Deadshot calls for a shot, Katana wants whiskey, Croc and Boomerang settle for beer, Harley asks Diablo wants and he prefers water which she jokes, "is a good idea." The scene was featured in the trailers, but in the movie it cuts directly to Deadshot's speech about them all almost pulling the mission off."

"Removed several scenes with the Joker to repaint his relationship with Harley as more loving rather than abusive."

"Joker and Harley get into an argument after he rescues her in the hijacked helicopter. In early cuts he reportedly pushes her out to kill her, then the helicopter gets shot down. This was apparently reworked into the helicopter getting shot down first and Joker pushing her out to save her."

"Joker returns during the final battle in the subway station, face half-burnt from the helicopter crash, which apparently leads to a brief altercation with the Squad. He calls for Harley to escape with him but she refuses for once in order to help her friends, and the Joker escapes after throwing a live grenade at the group to cover his own escape."
A lot of this sounds good and I was about to say why cut all of this out but then I realized I only read like half of this list :lol

All of this sounds like an extra 40 min-hour of movie. I get the feeling they weren't trying to shell out another 2hr near 3hr movie.

Hopefully they release an ultimate cut. I'll definitely watch that.

Man, y'all really refuse to drop $8 to go see this movie? Y'all must have some super high standards to not just wanna chill and watch something entertaining.
On the reg, tickets are $15. Maybe $13 if I go to a smaller theater in BK.

I had to wake up in the morning to catch Jason Bourne and The Infiltrator for matinee prices ($7.50) in Union Square. That's the only way I can see movies for cheap. Unless I go online looking for deals and discounts which in just not in the habit of doing.

I can't be doing that for every movie that comes out man :lol

But also maybe I do have higher standards at times. There's different criteria for different 4movies. Some are must see no matter what depending on director, cast, franchise and some are wait and see. Others I know I don't bother with. There are so many movies I end up watching on cable or online that I say to myself that was not worth a theater experience.

I feel you on all of that. I didn't realize ticket prices were double for most people in here compared to what I'm used to paying. I don't really hit matinees unless I'm going with some friends. A lot of my movie going decisions are based on what the wifey is willing to see. It was a struggle to get her to see BvS :rollin

I asked if she wanted to sit down and watch the Ultimate Cut with me and she just laughed and never replied :lol :(

Yeeeesh. This movie was so laughably bad. I don't think I've ever cringed this much off a movie. Literally every joke fell flat. The editing and pacing was almost amateurish. The story was a convulted mess. Add Optimus Prime on this squad and this movie would be no different than Transformers. The bar scene had rollin my eyes the entire time. El Diablo's back story was ripped straight off the East LA Barrio Chronicle. Good lawd. Thankfully Tmobile covered the cost to watch this ****show. I can't believe my boy David Harbour agreed to do this garbage. He should've done what Tom Hardy did and noped the hell outta there after reading the script. :{

Amanda/Joker/Harley were the lone brightspots. Hopefully Ben brings them over and redeems these characters.

BvS ultimate edition was much better than this mess.

Please Batfleck. Save this franchise/universe before it's too late :(

as TVs get better and the prices for movies continue to go up.. it's really only certain movies that I think I'm missing out on if I don't see in a movie theater (spoilers don't bother me)

and even that, I'm more pissed if I didn't get a chance to see it in a real deal IMAX theater (like force awakens or fury road)

I enjoy movies and can afford it.. but if I can just chill on my couch for something lackluster, I'd rather do that

so when does this take place in the dceu? after supes death but before batman starts forming his team?

also are they trying to change the story about who did batman get his teams info from? in bvs it was lex that did all the research on the team and that's how batman found them, in this movie he goes out and gets it from amanda.
also... does amanda know about bruce/bat? i kinda got that vibe when i saw that scene 8o

$8-$9 for an adult evening show is about right for where I'm at in Suburban Philadelphia area. The newer updated AMC theaters with the reclining seats are like $11 and the theater near King of Prussia mall is like $11-$13. But the out of the way places are still cheap. 1 theater I go to has $3 matinee shows. 3 freak dollars to see a movie before like 2

Knew China was gonna deny release of this film

Enchantress probably the main reason. They have a big thing about characters like that lol

Joker screen time wasn't as bad as I expected. Felt like it was definitely more than Spidey in CW.

Movie was cool.
