DC Studios THREAD - GunnVerse Begins - The Penguin out 9/19 then every Sunday on MAX

IMO rehab redemption arcs only play well with audiences for certain behaviors. Drugs and alcohol come to mind. Grooming and essentially being a pedophile are things rehab can't wash the stain of from an audience perspective.

No one is dead yet, just put it out with the disclaimer "this for the hard work of everyone involved not one madman". Business wise that's just too much money to take a complete L.

with everything that's going on around Marvel and DC, it reminded me a lot of this favorite bit from the Colbert Report.

he's right. they should have done things the way they should be. if they want some changes, make their own.

looks like zaslavs cutting a lot of animated shows/series too including the upcoming batman

then might actuallybring back snyderverse :smh:

If that happens, literally no hope at all.

They said they had a new 10 year plan. That is just a sign that nobody with talent wants to work with DC so they go back to the same lame who is willing to make some trash for them.

All jokes from here on out of true.

Just to clarify, they aren’t cutting them. They are still in production. They are just being shopped around to other platforms, as HBO max isn’t really seen as the place for animated stuff. So for example, you may see Netflix buy the rights to the Batman cartoon. So WB gets money for it but don’t have to worry about the max platform

I'm cool with whatever they do so long as they leave the Harley Quinn animated series alone and keep their hands off HBO original series content.

...

Im So Confused
Warner bros discovery doesn’t really want to make content that’s new and exclusive to HBO max. Harley Quinn is a one off because it’s so popular. They are fine with releasing their movies and having HBO proper series being premiered on the platform but they don’t want exclusive content made for it. So they are essentially licensing/selling shows to other services. Basically they want to be Sony and not Netflix or Disney plus.

So the animation above is not cancelled. They are still making it and looking for buyers, but they won’t premier it on their own

Ted lasso is also an example. That’s a WB show that Apple Pay’s for. That’s what they want

damn!

BATGIRL Director Tried To Retrieve Footage From Canceled Movie Only To Find Warner Bros. Had Deleted It

Fallah confirms that they tried to retrieve footage from the movie, only to discover it was already gone!

"No, we have nothing. Adil called and told me, 'Go ahead! Shoot everything on your phone!' I went on the server...everything was gone," he reveals. "We were [like], 'F**ing ****!' We did not [even] keep [the scenes] with Batman in [them]."

Later, the Ms. Marvel directors confirmed that work was far from finished on Batgirl, explaining that they still had additional scenes to shoot. VFX was also absent, so even if they'd wanted to, there was no way to release (or leak) a completed cut of the movie starring Leslie Grace, Michael Keaton, Brendan Fraser, and J.K. Simmons.

"The guys from Warner Bros. told us it was not a talent problem on our part or the actress [Leslie Grace], or even the quality of the movie. We were right in the middle of editing. There was a lot of work to get done, so it was not like the movie was finished! Warner Bros. told us the cancellation was a strategic change, a shifting in management so they could save some bucks."
