DC Studios THREAD - GunnVerse Begins - The Penguin out 9/19 then every Sunday on MAX

Looks like Kevin Tsujihara and Toby Emmerich wanted to keep their bonuses as opposed to pushing the movie.

Oh wow, those 2 really screwed the DCEU. The whole AT&T merger and project strength thing makes sense but after Zack steps down that's the perfect time make a change and push things back. Imagine if they had pushed it back to say Jan. where they'd have no competition and time to get the cgi and entire tone of the movie right and balancee :smh:

finally saw justice league. the first half of the movie was pretty soso but i really liked the second half of the movie.

im sorry but after superman asked batman if he bled then tossed him like trash then a few minutes later they show batman crippled on the ground and he said im pretty sure im bleeding somewhere i couldnt stop laughing. funniest part of the movie.

JL --> 3/8

- The beginning scene's CGI of Supes was beyond obvious and just looked strange
- The film felt very rushed -- quick shots that felt uncompleted
- Humor was pretty flat throughout -- the only joke that really landed was the Aquaman / lasso one
- They tried hard to make character moments, but they were done so halfheartedly
- Barry and WW were annoying -- Gadot's accent was even more prominent and grating this time around
- Batfleck felt very groggy / slow -- damn, they dulled the f--k out of him and it clearly showed in Ben's performance
- I think the Atlantis scenes were done well -- I really hope Wan doesn't make Momoa-man even more hammy in the solo film

If I were Batfleck, I'd be regretting even entertaining Hac Snyder's initial pitch to join BVS

Wow dude got this 100% on point.

I was only gonna watch the first 2 min but it was very good.

Also caught me off guard cuz hes black  His voice had me thinking white guy all the way. Not surprised a brotha dropping that knowledge though.

Dude brought me back down thinking theres no hope for the DCEU though.

If only Warner Brothers would watch and listen... carefully. I was never a huge DC fan (comics) but I loved Batman the Animated Series and DC's other animated stuff including Young Justice. The DCEU got stuck in "dark and gritty" whatever that means, as a reaction to not be Marvel, but the characters already made them not Marvel.

I'm very interested to see how TNT maintains quality.

We know the deal with the CW and superhero shows (hot when ya started but...), we know NBC's record (Good to meh), Fox as well (trash to okay), CBS had one shot (mediocre), ABC (average to good).

tnt has animal kingdom which nt likes, and the alienist looks like it could be good. Watched a few eps of will (the shakespeare show) and it wasn’t bad but I was probably the only person who watched it.

Yeah love one, look forward to the other, never find time for Will.

Its not even so much if the network produces quality shows overall but if they can have a strong track record with a superhero show(s).

None of the tv networks really are leading the pack. Expand the field a bit more to add FX, AMC and even Netflix and its Netflix but even those 5-6 shows have complaints.

I read somewhere that Bendis might be getting a position with DC films as part of his deal. This isn't 2000-2009 Bendis. This is Civil War II Bendis. :ohwell:

Scrapped Justice League Script Reveals WB’s Movie Plans Before DCEU

The Wrap got their hands on Beall’s script for Justice League and shared the wild details it contained. Before getting into further detail, the overall summary of this version of Justice League features Darkseid as the main villain, includes time travel, the son of Batman and Wonder Woman, no Aquaman – but several other members of the League. The full roster stands at 28 characters: Darkseid, Steppenwolf, Batman, Superman, KGBeast, Lex Luthor, Killer Croc, Darkeid’s disciple Desaad, Flash, Amanda Waller, King Faraday, Tattooed Man, Copperhead, Cheetah, Solomon Grundy, John Stewart, Hawkman, Kanjar Ro, Wonder Woman, Katma Tui, Kilowag, Guy Gardner, Salakk, Tomar-Re, Deathstroke, Huntress, Captain Boomerang, and Mercy Graves.

The plot of this Justice League movie is just as stuffed. It begins when Desaad steals Kryptonite (for Darkseid) from Lex Luthor and kills Killer Croc in the process. Superman and Batman are friends who recruit Flash after the battle with Desaad. Stewart and Hawkman attempt to stop Desaad from weaponizing the Kryptonite, are unsuccessful, and Superman becomes enslaved by Darkesid. He goes on to kill the entire Green Lantern Corps (except for Stewart). Once Superman breaks Darkseid’s mind control, he travels to the future to see Wonder Woman, an old Batman, their son Clark Wayne, and Lex Luthor trying to stave off Darkseid’s rein, but he’s killed 80 percent of the world’s population. Future Flash travels back to the present day and dies in his own arms. The final battle is on Apokolips with the entire League, all the Lanterns, and all Amazons battling Darkseid and his army.

Part of me would have liked to see that many major characters on screen at once

Also. The writer of Aquaman wrote that script
