I'm a big Jake fan. I think he could easily play the role. Bruce Wayne does not require much acting ability. Being Batman is simple as ****.
With that said I would prefer him to just wait for that Marvel role if he wants to be a superhero and avoid the controversy and negativity that surrounds DC. Don't want to see his career veer off the road.

He was considered at the time and I totally see it. He was suppose to replace Tobey had Tobey not been on board for SM4 & 5.
To me they look alike so I can see it. At the time I could've saw him being Ben Reilly and even Eddie Brock if they were willing to do things right.
After he tried Prince of Persia he was in no rush to jump back in that realm though
Still hasn't but dude has elevated his profile and acting resume since so I can see him wanting to face that challenge.
